Zone1 This is What the Government has done for Whites

You’ve obviously never seen the movie, or at least the original cut. Brooks attacks pretty much every ethnicity, religion, And dogma. None of it politically correct, or acceptable to today’s society.
I saw the mkovie at the theatre and probably 100 times since. You talk about political correctness but you want it done all the time when people talk about what whites have done. People are tired of white racism and being offended by white characatures of non whites. This is what white racism has created. Stop whining.

IM2 clings to the fantasy that whites were given prime farm land ready to plant. It wasn’t, in all cases it was virgin wilderness that needed years of work to turn into farm land. On the east coast it was covered by dense hardwood forests and on the Great Plains which is what he usually complains about, it was prairie that laughed at horse-drawn plows and lacked water. Even today those plots are only productive because of deep tube wells and artificial irrigation. Oh and in both areas the land was inhabited by hostile natives who were more than happy to kill, torture and rape the invaders.

Stop thinking you can tell people what I think. I know exactly what the Homestead Act provided. It was free land. They had 5 years to develop the land, I believe. Just face this reality. Whites were given free land, the equivalent of $500,000 per white family. 93 million whites today live on that land. That's approximately 40 percent of the white population. You seek excuses, but there aren't any. I know the facts son, stop assuming.

Donation Land Claim Act of 1850

Main article: Donation Land Claim Act
The Donation Land Claim Act allowed settlers to claim land in the Oregon Territory, then including the modern states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and parts of Wyoming. The Oregon Donation Land Claim Act was passed in 1850 and allowed white settlers to claim 320 acres or 640 to married couples between 1850 and 1855 when the act was repealed. Before it was repealed in 1855, the land was sold for $1.25 per acre. After the creation of the Oregon territory in 1848, the US government had passed the most generous land distribution bill in US history.

The Oregon Land Donation Act of 1850 had many negative effects on Indigenous people as well as Black people in the Pacific Northwest. Not only did the act use the land taken away from the Indigenous people in the Pacific Northwest, but the act also barred Black citizens from owning land and real estate. The act guaranteed land for white settlers and "half-breed" Indian men to the Oregon territory. This act followed the passing of the 1848 territorial organic act which allowed any white settler to claim a maximum of six hundred and forty acres. The Land Donation Act, however, also acknowledged women’s property rights due to Congress allowing the donation of four hundred acres to settlers—land that could be claimed by heads of households—including women.

They were given free wilderness that killed most of the settlers. That’s like me giving you a handful of transistors and some wire and calling it a computer. Blacks could and did receive the land as well and there are still blacks living on some of those grants. You just post the same bull over and over again no matter how many times it’s refuted and you ignore any points that refute your prejudices. Some day your immature and racist attitude will come back to haunt you. Karma is slow but certain,

My family wasn’t given any free land.

You will never see a penny in reparations.

It didn't kill off most of the settlers and the only person in this discussion with an immature and racist attitude is you. Blacks got very little of the land and as history shows, whites burned down some black settlements. Your argument is weak, and you've refuted nothing. Just saying it's not true isn't refuting. I repeat myself because you guys repeatedly deny documented evidence. More than 95 percent of homestead land went to whites. When the act was first passed blacks weren't eligible because blacks weren't citizens. I mean you think that because you are white that you can follow me around telling me I'm wrong all the time. None of you have refuted anything. Because you can't.

Your opinion means nothing. Begin to understand what you are up against. You talk and make excuses. You try explaining to me things I already know as if I don't and you, the omnipotent white man, must educate me. But I'm here to educate you. Drop the excuses. Whites were given free land.

Williams, T. (2000). The Homestead Act: A major asset-building policy in American history (CSD Working Paper No. 00-9). St. Louis, MO: Washington University, Center for Social Development. The Homestead Act: A Major Asset-Building Policy in American History

Now I don't care how difficult the work was, I don't care how many Native Americans they had to fight, the fact is 1.5 million American families got free homestead land from 1862 until the 1920's. 99.73 percent of the people who got that land was white. Just over 4,000 black families got homestead land when you consider that .27 percent of the 1.5 million families were possibly black. And it's probably less since other non white groups applied.

You made no points to refute any prejudice because there is no prejudice. You will learn to face reality. The reality here is that no matter what you say, the government gave whites free land.

Many white groups created a race card, united around being white amd practiced apartheid against non whites. That's a fact, deal with it because Blazing Saddles is a movie and it could be made today.

Actually, Blazing Saddle couldn't be made today because most people would have no idea what it is parodying. The kind of western Mel was trying to subvert has pretty much disappeared from the public square.

The problem here is that when you guys say "We want to have an honest discussion about race", it usually means, "We want you to take our criticism and don't you dare deny it, or make any legitimate complaints of your own!"

Take BLM. Most white people were horrified when they watched what Derrick Chauvin did to George Floyd. That was a pretty good opportunity to propose and implement actual police reforms. But after three months of riots, scrawling ACAB on burned out police cars, and rising crime rates, people got fed up. The reason why Trump got way too close to getting a second term I place squarely on BLM.

The Three-Fifths Compromise is found in Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3 of the United States Constitution. It says: “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three-fifths of all other Persons.”

You realize this was an attempt by white northerners to diminish the power of the South by limiting how much representation they had in Congress, right? The fact was, the South became more powerful in Congress after emancipation when blacks were fully counted in the Census.

Point is, every ethnic group that isn't White Anglo-Saxon Protestants encountered some kind of discrimination and prejudice when they came here. Germans, Irish, Jews, Chinese, Poles, Catholics, etc. Coming from a German Catholic background, we've had all of two German-American presidents (Eisenhower and Trump) and two Catholic Presidents (Kennedy and Biden). Except in the case of Trump and Biden, those distinctions no longer mattered.

I saw the mkovie at the theatre and probably 100 times since. You talk about political correctness but you want it done all the time when people talk about what whites have done. You've watched that movie 100 times? That's a bit-- obsessive.

I’ve explained that multiple times before. Since it doesn’t support his agenda he ignores that fact.

Whether it was colonial government or the current republic we have now, the government has provided whites with more than it has ever given to anyone else. This was not because people of color did not take the opportunity because most of these things EXCLUDED non white participation. The handouts/privilege started with this:

In 1618, the Virginia colony passed "the Great Charter of privileges, orders, and laws." Among these laws was a provision that any person who settled in Virginia or paid for the transportation of another person to settle in Virginia would get fifty acres of land per person. “The right to receive fifty acres per person, or per head, was called a headright.” It got even better for colonists as those who “imported” slaves also got fifty acres per slave. The practice was continued by the government of Virginia, for 161 years, ending in 1779. Headrights were not only limited to Virginia. The headright system was used in all the original thirteen colonies. Headrights were the first of many government handouts of free stuff or guarantees providing whites with economic development assistance.

It continued with this:

The Three-Fifths Compromise is found in Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3 of the United States Constitution. It says: “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three-fifths of all other Persons.”

And with this:

The Naturalization Act of 1790 states: “any alien, being a free white person,” could apply for citizenship, so long as they lived in the United States for at least two years and in the state where the application was filed for at least one year. This law allowed “children of citizens of the United States that may be born … out of the limits of the United States shall be considered as natural-born citizens.” Please notice the first seven words. Only whites were entitled to be citizens of this country.

And with this:

One of the greatest miscarriages of justice in this nation’s history was a direct rebuttal to the claim that all men are created equal called Dred Scott v. Sandford. I am not going into all the particulars of this case. The court’s opinion says all you need to know. “A black man has no rights a white man is bound to respect.” The result of Dred Scott v. Sandford was that whites were given rights and status blacks were denied.Or- Affirmative Action.

And with this:

Passed in 1862, the Homestead Acts gave away 246 million acres of land. To qualify for Homestead land, a person had to be a citizen of the United States, and blacks were not given citizenship until 1866.

And this:

On April 16, 1895, the United States Supreme Court rendered another one of the sorriest decisions in American history. It is known as Plessy vs. Ferguson. From this decision came the principle of separate but equal.

And this:

The National Housing Act was passed by Congress and signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1934.29 This law created the Federal Housing Administration or the FHA. The National Housing Act is the policy that may have had the most impact on wealth accumulation in modern America.

Between 1934 and 1968, the FHA implemented and put into practice a policy that still negatively impacts communities today.30 The FHA Underwriting Manual set the guidelines real estate agents used to assess home values in American neighborhoods. This manual promoted racist real estate practices. It was done by defending racially restrictive covenants and segregated communities. Due to this manual, the FHA established a neighborhood grading system based purely on false racist perceptions.

Redlining was the name of that grading system. My point here is the FHA was a government agency whose policies specifically provided whites with opportunities to increase wealth through homeownership. The formation of the FHA and its guaranteed loan program only worked to increase white advantage.
“Of the $120 billion worth of new housing subsidized by the government between 1934 and 1962, less than 2 percent went to nonwhite families.”

And this:

The Social Security Act of 1935 created the Social Security program, state unemployment insurance, and assistance to single women with children.Today, most Americans love the program. However, when the act was signed, the law excluded occupations mainly done by blacks. When President Roosevelt signed the law, approximately two-thirds of the blacks in America were ineligible. For years, most blacks were excluded from social security savings and could not get unemployment.

And this:

Title 4 or IV of the social security act of 1935 provided grants to states as Aid To Dependent Children. Eventually the name of the program was changed to Aid to Families with Dependent Children. This was welfare, folks. Assistance for single moms with children and no daddy at home. In 1935. Blacks were excluded.

And this:

The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 created the minimum wage and time and a half overtime pay for working over forty hours a week. Child labor was eliminated by this act. All these were good things, but… In every law that was passed as part of The New Deal, Roosevelt had to compromise with southern representatives to get the votes he needed. In the case of the FLSA, due to pressure from southern congress members, he decided that industries would be excluded from the regulations where the majority of workers were black. Because of this, blacks were paid less than the minimum wage.

And this:

On June 22, 1944, President Roosevelt signed the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act, better known as the G.I. Bill.38 This law provided benefits for veterans returning from World War Two. This act included funds for college tuition, low-cost home loans, and unemployment insurance. As in every other program during this time, southern members of Congress fought the passage of these laws unless there were provisions that limited access to blacks.

Over one million returning black soldiers were unable to get GI benefits. My father was one of those soldiers.

And today white women are the number one beneficiary of affirmative action. So when you're white trying to diss blacks with affirmative action, look in the mirror and you will see the image of the people who have benefitted the most from what you say Affirmative Action is. When you start ranting about government handouts and dependence look in the mirror again. The dependence on government by whites is why we see the complaining due to the fact that others are getting what some whites think they are entitled to. After all, when you bitch about imaginary quotas that if they were real, would give whites 70 percent of the jobs, admissions, government contracts and promotions, the only reason that you are bitching is because you believe you are entitled to everything.
Not happening today so?

I’ve explained that multiple times before. Since it doesn’t support his agenda he ignores that fact.
What you explained fit YOUR narrative. I don't have a narrative and no matter what excuses any of you whites use, the fact is that the government gave free land to whites.

Molly, 93 million whites live on homestead lands. Entire states were created by homesteading. The constitution was ratified in 1787. You guys talk about the document all the time. So your that was in the past schtick won't work here. Whites got free land. Whites passed that free land to their children. Ask Cliven Bundy, he livee on homestead land and whines because he had to pay a grazing fee. Whites on the right have a serious entitlement mentality.

Joe, I don't care what excuse you make for this. It's irrelevant. This should never have been done.

Everything I prresented is documented history. Excuses are unacceptable. The white racists here want to blame everybody else for wanting to be dependent on the government and lecture everybody about handouts. But when the mirror is held to your face and the truth is shown, we get excuses. And people actually think that explaining an invalid excuse changes the reality of what happened.

Whites have been the ones given the most by the government. The backlash today is because whites on the right want more from the government. The right wants states rights because they know that's how they will be given the most stuff.

History is documented. Legal decisions and legislation are documented and are public records. So you guys can huff and puff all you want, you can try all the whitesplaining there is, you can name call and use personal attacks, you can try every gaslighting technqiue there is but the record shows this:

In 1618, the Virginia colony passed "the Great Charter of privileges, orders, and laws." Among these laws was a provision that any person who settled in Virginia or paid for the transportation of another person to settle in Virginia would get fifty acres of land per person. “The right to receive fifty acres per person, or per head, was called a headright.” It got even better for colonists as those who “imported” slaves also got fifty acres per slave. RACE - The Power of an Illusion
BACKGROUND:
A Long History of Affirmative Action - For Whites

Many middle-class white people, especially those of us from the suburbs, like to think that we got to where we are today by virtue of our merit - hard work, intelligence, pluck, and maybe a little luck. And while we may be sympathetic to the plight of others, we close down when we hear the words "affirmative action" or "racial preferences." We worked hard, we made it on our own, the thinking goes, why don't 'they'? After all, the Civil Rights Act was enacted almost 40 years ago.
What we don't readily acknowledge is that racial preferences have a long, institutional history in this country - a white history. Here are a few ways in which government programs and practices have channeled wealth and opportunities to white people at the expense of others.
