I went to Catholic School growing up. It was called St. Mary's in Sacamento, Calif.

Not a single word in the Bible was actually written by Jesus. However, he is quoted extensively. He never refereced gays a single time. But he did mention the poor and hunger and people helping people over 1500 times.

When Republicans insist they are the Party of Jesus, it's laughable. The GOP seem to hate the poor and middle class. They think people helping people is dreaded "socialism" and their true masters are multi millionaires and billionaires, people Jesus seemed to hold in great disdain. You know this is true. You may deny it, but deep down, you know it's true.

Government taking money from select people to help select people for select reasons is socialism. Give a man fish and you have a slave. Teach a man to fish and he has a trade. Oh, and Jesus taught those that wrote the New Testament while He was on earth and later sent the Holy Spirit to remind them what to write...

Teach? That's government giving something to someone after government took someone else's money. That's a Republican "no-no". The GOP calls that "socialism". It's not part of the Republican belief system. It's why they support leaders like Santorum who call those who support education "snobs".

Christians read the Old Testament so they may live by example. The LAW is fulfilled for those who place their faith and trust in Christ; otherwise, (without the acceptance Christ) an individual is totally under the full weight of the LAW and must keep it perfectly or suffer the consequences. Government education amounts to governmental indoctrination/control. True education is a variety of ideas and logic that are not hampered by bureacrasy but only by the imagination of the community where an institution grows. When education is the responcibility of the immediate community, education is more valued by its citizens. The towns people can effect for good or bad what outsiders think of that community. When the government assumes control of education, what I think or you think is not going to matter or make a difference to the "town" school. American education was once much better and I see some areas where it glimmers. However, the Federal government has a strangle hold on public schools. The public has very little to do with what is being promoted or taught unless it is entirely SECULAR. Learning cannot flourish under such narrow perameters. It is stiffled and mechanical. Ideals, values, opinions, truths are all limited to materialism. I actually feel that the "Constitution of The United States" could not have originated from our present public school system. In fact, the abuses we see are the direct result of public education.

Why don't you ask yourself?

Christ invites all to come to Him and have faith in Him. He invites all to repent. Why would a man who considers himself gay be excempt from that invitation simply because he has different sins than we do? We all sin. We all give into the natural man from time to time. That is why we are to be born again. Because it's only the Atonement of Christ that has the power to change our very nature and make us new creatures.

Unfortunately, many Christians dont even try to live the Gospel and thus the ones that do often get overshadowed by them. As a man or woman repents of their sins and recieves more grace in their lives to overcome their weaknesses, the power that person has grows. That is why listening to the Lord is so important.
