Except the language Trump used connected with Middle America. Middle Americans who may not be racist, but really do see the problem with unchecked immigration.
Don't Taz Me is Asian?
As someone who is married to an Asian, I think you miss the point entirely. Asians don't wallow in self-pity and resentment, they get out and they work! While Harris barely won Asians this time, she did much worse with them than Biden did, despite Trump's openly racist rhetoric.
Frankly, I'm a white person who normally votes Democrat, nothing coming out of Crocket's piehole inspires me to vote. Making ableist comments about Greg Abbot are just embarrassing. Who is this winning over?
Democrats need to stop aspiring to be the party of Purple-haired Baristas. They need to reconnect with constituencies they lost last time.
And the same thing can be said about Democrats in +D districts like Crockett. Both parties have gone too far over to the fringe.
People seem to forget what Obama did.
I noted back when he was running against Clinton that while they were seeking the same groups of voters, they were doing it in very different ways.
Clinton was using the same tired approach of trying to segment the various groups and tailoring a message for each.
Obama brilliantly appealed to those same voters by appealing to ALL of them with essentially the same message.
Why we’re taking about is not policy. For the most part Dem policies appeal to Americans
It’s really about messaging.
For instance, the border is not a crisis. But the messaging from theTrump people is the opposite.
We actually NEED that labor but everyone ignores that because they don’t know how to message it or don’t have the balls to state the obvious in a way that people can understand
Trump got away with killing the bi-partisan border bill because he didn’t want to “lose” that issue. He needed it to get elected.
It was almost everything that Republicans wanted and would have “solved” the issue.
But Trump used messaging to kill it and got away with it
There SHOULD have been a cost to that. Dems missed a huge opportunity
