This is the only time

The United State's of America could not hold Turkey back any longer? The USA?? The USA is that weak under Trump?? Seriously??

Democrats scream bloody murder that "we should not be the policemen of the world."

Then they scream bloody murder when we decide not to be.

Funny, that. :auiqs.jpg:
It was a very successful operation, our men were not on the front lines getting killed left and right... we had the local Kurds doing the fighting and capturing of ISIS, which was our military's mission. We supported the Kurds doing the fighting with training, supplies and air strikes, and by having this very small presence, it kept the Turks from attacking the Kurds,.

If only all of our operations and missions were as successful as this one was....

What in the heck does Turkey have over Trump?

What in the heck does Putin have over Trump?

To make him such a weak weak weak weak weak President???
You people really are insane
We just are not deaf and blind, we see and hear what the President actually says and does, unlike his cult followers who see and hear, only the hollow words of their deceitful leader, and blindly believes he's their savior. I'd rather have TDS, any day of the week, any minute of any hour, than to be like you guys, that worship him, at all costs... even the cost of your souls have been given to him, is what it looks like, to those of us, not caught up in your cult!!

I don't know what else to say to help you... :dunno:. When he tells you to drink the kool aid,
Please don't do it.

I have ever agreed with a Russian government statement. And the only time I ever will.

Kremlin says U.S. betrayed Kurds in Syria, tells Kurds to withdraw or be mauled

Interesting. I've never agreed with the Rooskies' assessments of our military operations, despite your attempt to pin Putin fandom on me.

Perhaps your thinking is awry. :113:
I was thinking of you the other day when I was so angry at our betrayal of the Kurds, and you favored it. Do you remember all those years ago when I was so adamantly against invading Iraq. And how a few years later, still during 43, there was talk about withdrawing, and most Republicans said we couldn't do that because the insurgents would take over? At that time I argued that we should leave, because no matter how long we stayed, the insurgents would take over anyway so why does when we withdraw matter?
Now I am just as adamant that this withdrawal disgraces us. A complete reversal. I can only explain it as feeling ashamed that we broke our word, that people and their very lives depended on us and we walked away leaving them to enemies who hate them. Go figure!
It is nothing less than amazing how Trump has literally flipped everyone. Democrats have become neo-cons and Republicans have become peaceniks.

As I've said before, democratization/nation building is a vanity project. They don't want it.
I think we DID betray, but the point is moot now, isn't it. How do you suppose our allies see us now? Of course that point is moot now too. Nor do I agree that this new nationalism is a good thing.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion.

Our allies have fallen short of late. Perhaps it's time for new allies.
Billy, the old allies of years past no longer trust us to keep our word as a nation. The 'new' allies are nations diametrically opposed to the values our FF established. KJ Un may write lovely letters, Putin may be admired by our President for his leadership style including poisoning people and their families he doesn't like, Erdogan may be a spit in your face 'strong man', the Saudis may murder journalists, but all are not out to MAGA. It's opposite actually, and we have given them whatever they ask without a word of caution. Have you noticed that so many of the features that actually Made America Great in the first place, like checks and balances and Congressional oversight and iron-clad agreements(our word), and a Constitution that protects against re-establishing a Monarchy are rejected by the MAGA crowd? When did 'the President IS the State' come into style? Making new friends is usually a good thing, but not at the cost of tacky behavior toward the old to please the new. At the rate we are going, you don't have to worry about becoming nationalistic, our friends AND our enemies are isolating us to their own advantages.

You are most confused. I suspect you believe everything your favored Progressive sources report, a dangerous habit. I treat all media as fiction - not just yours - until confirmed by facts and common sense.

It's a funny thing, in an ironic sort of way, that our closest historical European allies began side-stepping into socialism and borderless existence almost as soon as the Berlin Wall came down.

Look at them now. They're a fucking mess. I fear the UK is lost altogether. And who let Turkey into NATO?

As to the other goobers - Putin, Kim, Erdogan, Xi and the like - you appear to have no clue as to the value of negotiating with a rose in your fisted gauntlet.

Your Democrat heroes have left the Union. They've done much damage both domestically and internationally these last twenty years, it's past time they were politically destroyed, and I'm confident that event is rapidly approaching.

I love arguing with a cogent poster. You never fall into the babbling mob mentality. We will probably never agree, but...Thanks, billy!

Weak? Turkey is a part of NATO, the US cannot just attack Turkey. Let NATO and the UN deal with Turkey and the Kurds. Why do we need to sacrifice our young men and women? I don’t get our love of war.
