Government isn't here to provide you with health care, clean air, safe drinking water, safe working conditions.

I disagree, 100%. I also expect government to ensure safe air travel, safe cars, and safe consumer products. There are reasons the gov't got into these areas, it was a reaction to rivers catching fire, polluted air and work environments giving workers cancer, etc. If the gov't didn't get involved how many coal miners would be dead from Black Lung?

Who said we have a $15 national minimum - wage. I said that $15/ HR is being imposed on some businesses. It has been imposed in the federal government....and has been used as a club over businesses...specifically McDonald's

The argument was that the $15 minimum wage has made eating out at McDonald's almost as expensive as eating out at a restaurant. There is no $15 minimum wage so that can not be true.

They only hire people who just entered the job market or have supplemental income. McDonald's isn't set up to pay a living wage. To remain competitive they have to keep their prices lower

That's what jobs at McDonalds used to do. Not so since we have offshored so many jobs. Is it McDonalds fault? No, not directly but you have your choices. The jobs that are left have to pay people enough to survive or you pony up more in taxes to provide welfare on top of what they earn.
