Here are some of the ramifications it the New York Safe ACt make it past the Supreme Court…and another reason to keep hilary out of office….

Blog: Court decision paves the way for Australian-style gun ban

If the SAFE Act is upheld by the Supreme Court, nothing prevents Congress from summarily outlawing tens of millions of firearms overnight. Once those firearms become contraband, the government may confiscate and destroy them without compensating the owner (just as the government confiscates and destroys illegal drugs).

All of the current calls for "common sense gun control" lead to universal registration of guns, as the laws so proposed an unenforceable w/o said registration.

We don't really wonder why the anti-gin loons want to register all the guns.

Here is material that the OP did feel comfortable posting from the link.

Read it all.

The SAFE Act is a complete ban on the sale or transfer of all military-style semi-automatic rifles manufactured within the past several decades. It is a total ban on the AR-15, AK-47, M-14/M-1a, HK G3, Steyr AUG, and many other civilian copies of military firearms. Prior to the passage of the law, Gov. Cuomo publicly stated that he was considering "confiscation" of existing rifles, but the final version of the law allowed existing owners to keep their rifles as long as they registered them with the State. Upon the death of the owner, the rifle will be confiscated; it cannot be transferred to an heir within New York State.

The SAFE Act also enacted a complete ban on the possession of all firearm magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. The law contains no "grandfather" provision for previously legal items.

I couldn't give my son my guns? Fuck that statist bullshit, Jake.

When the confiscaters come, a little red dot on their shirt pocket will make them want to run like a deer.

It's all smoke and mirrors. There's no chance in hell that people will follow such a stupid unenforceable law. Oh yea, all the thugs, criminals, gang members, and crazies, are going to register their guns? And, gun owners are going to allow the state to take possession of their guns once they die? And, no one will be selling those guns on the black market? And, those weapons wont find their way across our borders? And extended ammo clips will soon disappear?

If anyone believes this to be a solution, I have some prime oceanfront property in Tucson Arizona going cheap this week, come and get it while the price is right.

If anything, this stupid damn law will push the black market, and encourage homemade ammo clips. And, those guns will become hot items on the streets. They'll be sold out of the trucks of cars, and they'll be a commodity like illegal drugs on the streets.
