Most places I know that cancel Halloween it's because of Christian zealot parents afraid of demons, etc.

What is stupid is how you decide it must be 'liberals'

Students who 'opt' out of Halloween tend to be certain Christian sects and some Orthodox Jews.

None of whom tend to be liberal.

Why wouldn't Catholics and Jehovah's witnesses be part of 'diversity'?

Though I am not aware of any Catholic issue with Halloween- largely Jehovah's witnesses, some Evangelical Christians and some Orthodox Jews.

good point------they did not PINPOINT the ideologies of those who OBJECTED----
so that we could poke fun at those religions. I am old-----when I was in the fifth
grade-----on looking back I realized that my teacher was a communist------at a time
when being a communist was tantamount to being a criminal------she disallowed
Christmas carols and on Halloween day -----assigned MASSIVE homework so
that we kids would not have time to go door to door extorting candy. At that
time --------I took it as "she's weird....." and as far as I know -----no one ever
complained---------she was particularly good at teaching "SOCIAL STUDIES"----

Halloween is great fun! my kids dress as Stephanie and Sassy Irish Ass (where is she?) they usually win prizes, but I toss their candy, you can't trust it anymore.

Sounds like the intramural party thing wasn't selling, so they cancelled it. Hallowe'en isn't a school tradition anyway -- it's a home thing.

Halloween is plenty diverse.

Ghouls, Ware wolves, Vampires, nobody said they couldn't have proper gay representation. Vampires are sometimes gay anyway. Ware Wolves....not so much
