.....And then I see the mother, a young woman in a green shirt, wailing, crying, held on either side by menacing white men in tactical vests, black neck warmers pulled over their noses in the style du jour for our secret police forces.

Surrounding them are a few dozen community members who were tipped off about the ICE raid and got to it before the police did. Before I arrived, they demanded to see a warrant. The ICE agents refused to provide one, so they created a human chain, which the ICE officers eventually broke through.

I still don't know her name or where they've taken her. The federal officials provided no information to anyone at the scene. But apparently they called the local police for backup. They felt that they were surrounded. Black Hawk Down.

Read this. This is where we are in the United States. People are being summarily kidnapped off the street and taken to who knows where. There is no warrant. There is no explanation and reasoning other than their skin is not white. This is trump at his best, inflicting paint on others.

Why exactly would a law enforcement officer or an immigration agent need a “warrant” to detain an illegal alien regarding his/her immigration-related deficits?

Because they're not saying that the raid followed proper procedures. They're saying it doesn't matter, or that due process doesn't apply because it involves illegal aliens. That's dumb. And dangerous.

?? From everything we can discern from this horribly written article, they were following proper procedures and the local police confirmed no warrant was necessary. Perhaps she was selling fruit out of a cart on the street corner when she was arrested.
