From my perspective, what was rightly rejected by Dem's, myself included, were the accusations Biden's decline meant the government he lead was incompetent due to the impairment. Yet he remained surrounded by qualified aides and cabinet members, he retained his moral compass, he was not interested in his own wealth, he did not spend an inordinate amount of time focused on building a ballroom, he tried to compromise with R's when possible. No matter the specious allegations to the contrary he did not seek to corrupt the DoJ, he did not ask for vindictive prosecutions, he even allowed for the prosecution of his son. He is 10 times the man trump will ever be and we were much better off with him to the very end than with a self-interested, immoral, ignorant, liar.
