WASHINGTON — President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia authorized extensive efforts to hurt the candidacy of Joseph R. Biden Jr. during the election last year, including by mounting covert operations to influence people close to President Donald J. Trump, according to a declassified intelligence report released on Tuesday.
The report did not name those people but seemed to refer to the work of Mr. Trump’s former personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani, who relentlessly pushed accusations of corruption about Mr. Biden and his family involving Ukraine.
“Russian state and proxy actors who all serve the Kremlin’s interests worked to affect U.S. public perceptions,” the report said.
The declassified report represented the most comprehensive intelligence assessment of foreign efforts to influence the 2020 vote. Besides Russia, Iran and other countries also sought to sway the election, the report said. China considered its own efforts but ultimately concluded that they would fail and most likely backfire, intelligence officials concluded.

Putin's efforts were not as broad based nor were they are overt as in 2016. For example, Russia's GRU did not supply Wikileaks with hacked material damaging to Biden's candidacy like it did in 2016 to Clinton's.

As the Trump administration escalates its criticisms of the Federal Reserve and Chairman Jerome Powell, the central bank is quietly pushing back with a new “Frequently Asked Questions” page on its website defending the central bank’s $2.5 billion renovation project.
The page, posted Friday, directly responds to some of the administration’s criticisms of the renovation project of the Fed’s headquarters, which came under attack this week from Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought.
Vought on Thursday claimed that Powell “has grossly mismanaged the Fed” and took aim at what he called an “ostentatious overhaul.”
The project aims to modernize the Federal Reserve’s campus by renovating three buildings overlooking the National Mall and adding a visitors center.
Members of the regime do not worry about how transparently political they are in going after Powell because Dotard wants interest rates lower right now. The Fed is wisely waiting for the affects of Orange Grampa's tariffs on inflation before making the decision to cut.

Show me one case of actual voter fraud which could have been prevented by Voter ID.
For over ten years now, every example of voter fraud posted on this forum could not have been prevented by Voter ID.
Not only that, every example took place in states that have Voter ID.
The only case of proven fraud from ballot harvesting was by Republicans in North Carolina.

He did nothing during the 2016 or 2020 to do anything but encourage Putin's help in getting him elected. Now he has compromised the cybersecurity dept. of the FBI so election interference from foreign entities is easier. Just the way he likes it.

We know that the rabid press was all about anything they thought could possibly lower TRUMP!'s chance of re-election and if they found any Russian ads on Facebook, they would have made it front page news for months in the campaign. They did not because they couldn't find Russian interference to talk about, and they couldn't find it because TRUMP! stopped it.
I mean, what's the alternative, no one wanted to dig too deep into foreign election interference for fear of upsetting the apple cart because it might uncover the "wrong" interference?
