Why do you let someone tell you how to live?

I take advice. My dad grew up poor and he passed on how much money someone can save if they are frugal and wait for coupons.

And my mom was right. Save your money. You may not always make what you’re making now. That was in the 90s and boy was she right. 90s were great. 2000s not so much.

Dont spend beyond your means, don’t raw dog porn stars, etc.

But, since you asked, I joined the Navy at 17 years and 5 mos of age- got out 10 days prior to my 21st birthday due to a Christmas cut- so, yeah, I did. And since leaving the military I weighed my options of who to listen to and used my own powers of cognizance to establish the path I took. I don't subscribe to authoritarian rule- I do what I want when I want to the best of my ability- there is always more than one way to skin a cat- one man's trash is another man's treasure, etc..

So, again, I ask: why do you let someone tell you how to live?
