The video I just saw from the trial of the Floyd incident with the audio of the crowd around looked pretty bad

There is something seriously wrong with you.

Richard Zimmerman, the longest serving police officer on Minneapolis PD, says Derek Chauvin’s use of force on George Floyd was "totally unnecessary" and "uncalled for."

Prosecutor Matthew Frank asked Zimmerman whether in his more than 30 years with the Minneapolis Police Department he had ever been trained to kneel on a person’s neck while that person is handcuffed and in the prone position. (Prone position is when a person lies flat with their chest down.)

Chauvin's Use Of Force 'Totally Unnecessary,' Minneapolis Police Lt. Testifies

Zimmerman said no, adding that doing so would “absolutely” be considered a use of “deadly force.”

“If your knee is on a person’s neck, that can kill him,” Zimmerman testified.

He said a person could still be combative when they are handcuffed but that the threat level against an officer would be very low.

“They’re cuffed ― how can they really hurt you, you know?” Zimmerman said. He added that an officer should move a person, once handcuffed, out of the prone position “as soon as possible” because such a position hinders the person’s ability to breathe.

“Once a person is cuffed, you need to turn a person on the side or sit them up,” Zimmerman said. “You need to get them off their chest.”
The cops already sat him down when they cuffed him. He was placed with his back against a building on the sidewalk. For heaven's sake, look at the video evidence staring you right in the face. Frankly there is something seriously wrong with you. They (police) tried to get him to go into the patrol car but he put up a fight and had to be physically PUT in the patrol car. After that, he thrashed around screaming about claustrophobia and said he couldn't breathe. All symptoms of drug induced insanity. He was harming himself inside the car so they got him back out and laid him on the ground. They already tried to calm him down several times. Your rendition of the incident lacks an understanding of the whole incident and you come here spouting racist nonsense.

Not as ignorant as you trying to sell the idea that four police officers against one handcuffed arrestee have the right to kill that person if they are afraid of being harmed. In your white privileged world. The cops may kill without testing if the handcuffed arrestee is still resisting. The cops can kill based on being afraid until the arrestee is dead. And in Chauvin’s case he was apparently afraid of a dead still body until the unarmed EMT came along and ever so bravely tapped Chauvin gently on his leg to get him to quit being afraid and pull his knee off the dead man’s neck.
Here we go again, bringing up race. You are the worst little racist cuck did you know that?

Liar. You attacked Black Lives Matter supporters as most racists do.
Black Lives Matter is racist and their title itself is racist you're either a straight-up blatant racist POS or an ignorant racist POS.

I brought up the white privileged argument you have made. ...the idea that four police officers against one handcuffed arrestee have the right to kill that person if they are afraid of being harmed. Thats a racist argument when a white cop kills a black suspect who is being killed while witnesses are screaming at him to stop killing the man for nine minutes.

There was no reason those four cops should have been afraid to turn Floyd on his side and let him breathe.

I made no 'white privileged' statement, you are lying again. BTW not all the officers were 'white' mr. moonbeam. I don't care how you squirm you, sir, are a racist. You are the one bringing up skin color. You judge others by the color of their skin obviously, you are a raging racist and I find you quite disgusting.

Black Lives Matter is racist

How is ‘Black Lives Matter’ racist?

Do you feel inferior to black people when I say it? I don’t at all. What is your problem?
Black Lies Matter is racist .... and Marxist too.

Racism and Marxism are not American values.

They are hallmarks of the Left.

Recent police supervisor testimony is not favorable to Chauvin's defense.
Experienced responsible police management stated Chauvin did it wrong.
In my humble opinion, that testimony will likely be an important part of jury considerations.
Maybe determinative.

In my non-police, non-EMT view, what I see is a man lying on his belly hemmed in by a vehicle flanking his entire right side, hemmed in by his hands handcuffed behind his back, and hemmed in by 4 police officers kneeling on points spanning the length of his body from neck to feet.

And then, after there is no movement from the man for some minutes one of the officers continues for some more minutes to remain with his knee on the man's neck.

Despite the personal history, criminal record, or drug use by the dead man prior to this police encounter......... America is not for summary execution. I believe that Chauvin didn't intend to kill the man. But I can be persuaded he didn't care that much if he did. Sort of a 'so be it, he's a druggie'.

Chauvin is, in my opinion, guilty of killing Floyd.
How the law and the jury applies it's gradations of homicide, I'll leave to them.

I made no 'white privileged' statement,

I said your statement comes from a white privileged world (attitude). The idea that
‘the cops can kill based on being afraid until the arrestee is dead’ is collateral damage from two centuries of white dominance of American society which includes law enforcement.
The idea that ‘four cops can kill a handcuffed arrestee based on being afraid until the arrestee is dead’ is racist in the case. Don’t really care that you don’t agree.

I’ll add this to my argument. Its a good description of what happened:

America is not for summary execution

I think Chauven will be found guity.

Hell ... he's charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 3rd Degree Murder, Second Degree Manslaughter, being a cop, being white, and breathing while in public.

There's no way he'll be aquitted on all charges.

I think Chauven will be found guity.

I didnt know until the trial that Floyd was dead for minutes with Chauvin’s knee still on his neck. That shows intent to kill with no concern for the human life he had absolute control over whether it would continue or end. He did it with witnesses including an off duty EMT telling him to stop.

"Intent to kill" may be another matter in the Court.

"no concern for the human life" is a no brainer.

Forgive me for not wasiting my time on swine.

I’m not a leftist. I never liked the power that white evangelical Christians and the gun lobby have over the Republican Party. Since the rightwing Christians accepted Trump as their political savior I am sickened by the Republican Party and I don’t see a cure.

But if your argument boils down to calling me a Marxist I check you off as having none.

I’ve had better rightwingers than you run away from me before.

Your comment proves otherwise.
