I don't think its so much tariffs as Trump tends to take advice from guys like Navarro. Tariffs needed to be narrowly focused on specific items that we CAN make and Jina cheats on costs. And taking on the world was something .... beyond stupid. As it was last time as well, although covid crashed the econ.

I agree that there were smarter ways to impose reciprocal tariffs rather than all at once.

When Trump learns that we lost $5T or so on our stock market investments, and that the 2026 mid-terms are coming next year, he may get a few more gray hairs.

The only silver lining is that democrats are TOXIC and with a 21% approval rating they don't sound very scary.

Democraps have been busy sabotaging our food production.
Cutting off water supplies.
