According to an analysis by BloombergNEF, some two-thirds of electric vehicles sold worldwide are purchased in China, and within the next year, China’s E.V. sales are projected to exceed the entire U.S. car market.

But cold weather and any need to drive distances, never mind not having the ability to charge at home makes them less optimal.

The solution is to incentivize the Energy companies to develop alternative energy sources while still being less dependent on foreign sources. Punishing / Restricting domestic energy companies with more regulations and taxes accomplishes nothing but hurt the economy.
