The US still buys 700,000 barrels of fossil fuel per day from PUTIN….WHY?

It didn't lower the price of Gas for Americans. It doesn't make us less dependable on foreign oil and we are still subject to the global market price.

It is great for NG producers.
If we are producing more oil then there's less demand which drives prices down. Unless others decrease the amount, they are producing. There's no way to get countries to stop buying oil from Russia if there's no alternative.

We are FUNDING the war against Ukraine. The US should stop purchasing FF from Russia NOW.

Gee, we were energy independent and could have easily increased production to make up for what we buy from Russia.

The world is not serious about stopping Poot until they stop buying his FF…about 10% pf the world’s supply.
Because addictions make addicts do stupid things

Sure he is. His boy in the White House refuses to sanction the major source of Putin's political power and personal wealth. Joe Biden is funding Putin's war. Of course.
Hahaha that's par for your course. You think the royalties BP, Shell and Exxon paid to Russia funded the Russian Military? Man the Neo-GOP is scraping the bottom of the Barrel so to speak.....

That's almost as good as when they punked their base with "Putin Bribed Hillary to be able to buy the rights to a few dirt mines......."

It just feels like if American like producers wanted to produce more oil, they wouldn’t be waiting for Biden to tell them to do so.

Because complaining that US production somehow affects the cost we pay per barrel or price per gal of gas is .... booollshit.
It most certainly does. Only a prog moron would deny it.

They don't pay royalties to Russia, moron. They don't drill in Russia. All the revenue from a barrel of oil goes to the Russian government.

They are waiting for Biden to get out of the way, you fucking moron.

The recent peak production was a mountain that took over 10 years to climb. Since the setback in 2020 production has recovered about 60% of the lost production. It will just take time to get there again. But even when we do get there, there is no guarantee that our increased production will result is lower oil prices. It didn't last time.

It should have easily gone back to par, but the obstacles Biden put in the way prevented that.

Sure I got it backward Rosneft paid PB billions. But not anymore. The invasion got in the way.

"People are not touching Russian barrels. You may see some on the water right now, but they were bought prior to the invasion. There won’t be much after that," said one New York Harbor trader. "No one wants to be seen buying Russian products and funding a war against the Ukrainian people," he added.

How is Biden preventing them from increasing production?
By placing over burdening regulations on oil and gas leases, for starters.

Then there's this...

How is Biden preventing them from increasing production?
Since assuming the office of the Presidency, Joe Biden has taken several actions to obstruct oil production in the United States, including a suspension of new oil and gas leases on federal lands and blocking oil sales in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). He also canceled the Keystone XL pipeline within hours of assuming office.

What's your point, moron?

Are these the only locations that have the capability to produce oil in the United States?

Then there's this...

Is oil produced only on federal lands or is it produced on private land as well?

It should have easily gone back to par, but the obstacles Biden put in the way prevented that.
Obstacles such as? Given that they had to shut down producing wells, what obstacles did Biden put in their way to stop them from reopening those wells?
