The US is presently involved in 15 ‘shadow wars’:

Here’s where and why

24 Jul 2023 ~~ Colleen Kilday --- Reprinted 27 Dec 2023 By Yahoo News

(STACKER) — The ever-expanding American military footprint covers nearly every continent. While the United States has long had a military presence in other nations, the scope significantly expanded following the passage of the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force, which, in the wake of 9/11, permitted the support of foreign forces against various terrorist groups. The U.S. has since had 173,000 troops deployed in 159 countries as of 2020 and currently maintains at least 750 foreign military bases across 80 countries, according to the Conflict Management and Peace Science journal.
As the top military power in the world, according to the Global Firepower index, the U.S. has a vested interest in the national security of countries across the globe. In situations that do not warrant combative military intervention or would threaten relations with allies, the government may oversee or aid more minor disputes within countries, such as counterterrorism efforts. This type of involvement is known as a “shadow war,” a somewhat covert military operation conducted on behalf of a smaller power.
Stacker compiled a list of 15 “shadow wars” the U.S. is currently involved in and how those conflicts began, using various news, government, and investigative sources.

Commentary:
Seems our CIA has been working overtime.
“The U.S. has since had 173,000 troops deployed in 159 countries as of 2020 and currently maintains at least 750 foreign military bases across 80 countries.”
All of these are more important than our border.
Meanwhile, we are running out of ammunition by supplying Ukraine and Israel. Notwithstanding the fact that our industrial capacity is no longer viable.
We no longer produce enough steel to sustain the wars we are involved in.
A mass formation psychosis has capture a bunch of weak minded individuals currently running our county.
BTW we the taxpayer are responsible for what our government does with or without our consent... if our Government gets us all killed it is on us. We have a choice to either stand up against it... or go along with it.

...and yet Colin Powell's statement remains true: The only thing we have ever asked for in exchange for our lives and treasure is a little space to bury our dead. The US has never conquered any country in order to take it over.

Had France not wasted money on the 13 colonies we would not be a nation.

Again, there would still be wars but fewer and less extensive without our willingness to get involved. Those who created the country that the 13 colonies became warned us against doing that.

Just don't count the Indian nations...

The assertion that the US is the number one military power is out of date .
Now number three and possibly a very poor number three as increasingly evidenced by ongoing conflicts -- Arghanistan and Ukraine most recently .

That the US is involved in 15 Shadow Wars is a major reason why your country is hated more than any other .

Unless you as a nation can show that you have a greater need than others to control natural resources markets , or , that you believe your Never Ending Wars philosophy is divinely inspired , the rationale for your military is wrong and evil
imho

At this point, it is mostly skull duggery.

That's sad that you think Ukraine started the conflict.

They did. We would have done the same thing Russia did if there was a threat of arms being placed on the border of Mexico pointed our way.

Why are you wasting time on a computer when you could be fighting hand-to-hand to stop the invasion?
Do you realize that if you even complain about our leaders actions, much less take actions that oppose him you are an enemy of the state, and will be treated as such? Be a part of the solution and join the border patrol? Then you will be sent south to hand out ID cards and cash and arrange transportation. This is how things work now, and when it starts to affect you personally it will be much too late.

Why do you people keep implying that the U.S. military should be handling the American border when you know that is a law enforcement issue?
