Jesus kept God's old covenant laws while he was alive. With his death that all changed. He even upheld the death penalty, which the Pharisees ignored.

The universe became permeable to light about 300,000 years after it was created. Before that, it was just a thick soup of quarks and subatomic particles at millions of degrees.

But days and nights had no part in it because that did not come for another 9 billion years when our solar system formed with a rotating Earth around its star.

So is the Bible wrong? I don't think so, just that someone from the Babylonian times of ancient Mesopotamia used days as the only unit he knew to break up the creation of the universe into 7 parts in a way that the reader of the time could understand and relate to.

The key is that such parts of the Bible are more metaphorical than literal. I mean, when Genesis was written it would be another 2 millennia before mankind even realized that the Earth really revolved around the Sun. Later in the Bible as it gets more involved with people, places and events, it becomes literal.
