They weren't colonized, but they were controlled.
Anyway, the statement "Capitalism=freedom, Socialism=unfreedom" is false.

May be. May be no. Explain your point of view. How exactly changed freedom of, say, Western Germany under the American control? Increased or decreased?

The main reason was quit simple. The western Europe was occupied by the rich USA, and the eastern Europe was occupied by the poor Soviet Union. What is even more important - Western Europe was richer even before the WWII.

They weren't colonized, but they were controlled.

The same way the Soviets controlled Eastern Europe?
With tanks, troops, walls and dictators? LOL!

I know!!! It's almost like communism guarantees you'll be poor. Weird, right?

Over there
Antony Blinken : "As part of the “Khashoggi Ban”, the United States took measures to impose visa restrictions on Belarusians who engaged in counter-dissident activities.
We stand in solidarity with Belarusians in support of their human rights."

Khashoggi was killed and dismembered in Turkey at the Saudi consulate. Have you heard about the sanctions against Saudi Arabia?
Blinken is a hypocritical perverted bastard.

Both the USA and the USSR controlled their satellites with carrots and sticks. The USA had bit more carrots, but the conception is the same.

It significantly decreased in both cases.

No. It guarantees that if you are poor - Russians will give you an opportunity to kill your riches and became richer yourself. That's a secret of attractiveness of the left ideas.

The USSR used tanks, truncheons and the gulag.
The US used dollars, blue jeans and economic success.

I can see why you conflate the two. They sound very similar.

It significantly decreased in both cases.

Really? How did freedom significantly decrease in West Germany because of the US?

Russians will give you a chance to kill rich people? Will that make you rich? How?

Intelligent statesmanship can avoid unnecessary wars. Our democracy is far too self-absorbed and divided internally to produce far-sighted leaders able to develop rational foreign policy.

Western policy towards Ukraine is evolving from the ridiculous to the positively surreal. Thus the latest demonstration of the West’s unbreakable commitment to Ukraine and to future Ukrainian NATO membership is — to evacuate Western diplomats from Kiev, before a single shot has been fired, and while Russia continues to deny that it has any intention of invading. At this rate, Russia will have no need whatsoever to do so. President Putin can enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while Western governments run around squawking hysterically, and NATO’s credibility collapses along with the Ukrainian economy.

The United States, Canada, and Britain — the countries that have been among the loudest in their calls for a strong line against Russia — have withdrawn their military and civilian officials from the OSCE mission monitoring the ceasefire line between Ukrainian and pro-Russian separatist forces in the Donbas. Military trainers from these countries have also been withdrawn…

What sort of signal of Western resolve does this decision send? And much more importantly, what does it say about the present character of Western civilization? NATO is beginning to resemble a confederation of capons — emasculated roosters who in this case have unfortunately retained the ability to strut and crow.

Nobody is suggesting that Western diplomats should fight, let alone give up their lives in some desperate last stand against Russian tanks. What we can ask is that they stay in their embassies and continue to do their duty, in the face of some small amount of risk. Individual diplomats are not to blame for this shameful flight — but the governments and official cultures of their countries most certainly are…

The Ukrainian government, and Ukrainian citizens should also pay attention. For all that Ukraine’s search for NATO membership is doing, has done, and will continue to do is to create a terribly damaging and dangerous crisis with Russia without strengthening Ukrainian security or real Western commitment to Ukraine in the slightest. To drop this manifestly pointless pursuit would be good for Europe, the world, and above all Ukraine itself.

Actually both sides used both sticks and carrots. American carrot (in Europe) was sweeter, stick (in Europe) was thinner (almost a rod), but it was more about Eurocentric views of many American politicians. That's why Soviet policy in Asia and Africa was that effective.

I can see why you conflate the two. They sound very similar.

For example, Western Germans couldn't burn Jews anymore. Or, right now they can't start the work of Nord Stream-2.

Yes. You kill you riches, you get their property, you life quality increase (sometimes - significantly). Yes, of course, it's only temporary improve, but this ideology was attractive because it worked.

At some point, after being wrong so often, you get moved from the sometimes ignorant column to the insanely stupid squad.

Marines are "Amphibious Forces".

It is "тяжёлая огнемётная система". Which translates to "Heavy Flamethrower System". You literally gave us a Romanized spelling of the name, without actually translating what it is. Too funny.

Strike two.

Yes, they do. Holy hell, I already clarified that as they fall under Protocol III of the Convention of Certain Conventional Weapons.

Here, I am providing a link to the complete Protocol III, but here are the most important parts of it.

As such, the use of those weapons against personnel is illegal. All flame weapons are illegal, period. Does not matter what you use it against, they are illegal. Do I need to put this in bright flashing neon for you to get it?

And the fail just continues. I can give you the exact translation of something, and even the exact quotes from the actual Laws of Land Warfare, and you still insist you are right and I am wrong. Tell me, when did you start studying this? Because for me, it was in 1980. And as I said, I actually taught it for a couple of years.
Ok. They started to use it near Dokuchaevsk against field positions of Ukrainian Army.
Looks like pretty incendiary for me:
Nobody (including Ukrainians) cares.

Ukraine is none of our business. Let Putin have it. Let him deal with the corruption, plotting, crime, etc. Let him fund their rebuilding. That country is not worth the life of ONE American in uniform.
