Joes were making war with the global terrorist super-group known as Cobra which had created a giant dragon-creature using genetic-engineering to terrorize humanity while also designing an army of robotic drones that would invade any American city on command. Duke, the leader of the G.I. Joes ordered his first-strike soldiers and specialist-commanders (e.g., Snake-Eyes, Lady-Jaye, Shipwreck) to secure traffic at all the major U.S. airports (including JFK and LAX). Duke meanwhile plotted with President Trump about how to defeat Cobra's bronze dragon.
Snake-Eyes planned to retire after this major initiative against Cobra. He married his sweetheart Mara, a woman-mermaid he met underwater and planned to escape with her to the Virgin Islands. Duke wanted Snake-Eyes to personally assassinate Serpentor, the super-emperor of Cobra, so the rest of the G.I. Joes could deal with Cobra's other ghouls (e.g., Baroness, Storm-Shadow, Destro). Duke actually hoped to negotiate a special BP-OPEC peace treaty of commerce with Cobra's vizier (Destro), but feared that Destro only thought about power-control and terrorism, so Duke warned President Trump not to trust Destro under any condition! Duke's main objective was to create a 'stable arena' for any kind of 'diplomacy war.'
Snake-Eyes cut Serpentor's throat with his special silver-sword after infiltrating Cobra's hidden fortress in the Himalayas of Nepal. Shipwreck and Duke then planted a deadly brain-freezing toxin inside the mouth of Cobra's bronze dragon (which was flying around Washington, D.C. on the 4th of July), and the giant terrifying creature fell to his doom. Duke and Lady-Jaye then approached Destro and Baroness to seek terms for peaceful negotiation with U.S. President Donald Trump, but the two Cobra minions refused and the 'piracy-war' continued. Snake-Eyes, meanwhile, retired with Mara and began writing comic book stories about disestablishmentarianism wars and unruly terrorism. Duke ironically felt optimistic about 'TrumpUSA schizophrenia.'
