And that was usurped by the Prog socialists in our history as they have slowly gained power and have sped it up in recent decades. The 17th Amendment, the federal reserve act and the federal income tax are three examples of Prog influence. Wars and depressions started almost immedietly with just those three changes. Nations mature. But the citizens lose rights that were given to them when the government becomes monstrous in size. The idea is to try to keep the best of both as it is here. And we don't seem to want to do that. So we will eventually have complete tyranny. Except in the bedroom.

It is generally accepted that modern humans migrated out of Africa some 200,000 years ago. In that span of time Homo Sapiens, as we are called, adapted, and overcame many challenges from being low on the food chain to great climate oscillations that spelled the end for earlier models of humanity. Glaciers, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, asteroid strikes, and later wars and famine were no match for our larger, more highly evolved brain.

We went from simple hunter gatherers to astronauts in those 200,000 years leaving Neanderthals in our anthropological and evolutional dust. We built great cities, developed advanced, complicated cultures, and became the stewards of planetary civilizations beyond the capacity of our evolutionary ancestors, the apes, to even imagine. We have walked on the surface of the Moon and today we are knocking on the door of the stars.

But now, in a virtual nanosecond of geologic time, it is being reported worldwide that the human race cannot continue unless everyone starts wearing a mask. What happened? We know there were points in history when the human race experienced a bottleneck that reduced the global population to a mere 10,000 individuals. The eruption of Toba, a super volcano, about 75,000 years ago was one such event. The blast produced a volcanic winter blocking sunlight which caused a die-off plants and animals that nearly wiped us out.

But no such earthly catastrophe has occurred. So, what is going on? Well, as you may have guessed, an existential, calamitous, and stupendous event took place in 2016 with the election of Donald Trump and now we face possible extinction! Trump got on the wrong side of Confucius communism in China with threats of tariffs coupled with a return to domestic industry and suddenly a 12-monkeys plague of plagues is upon the globe.

Based on the number of humans who haunt grocery stores following arrows and sit in the hot sun eating in parking lots, we may have to reclassify humanity once again because many representatives of the species cannot figure out what has hit them. There seems to be some sort of atavistic regression happening as millions of humans appear to be backsliding to their simian roots. They run like apes in the streets setting fires and clubbing fellow humans with sticks.

Homo Stupidicus? One thing we know is they will be voting for Joe Biden who sits in a hole communicating with grunts and hand gestures.
