The Trump-Carroll Case is Blatantly the Greatest Miscarriage of Justice in Modern American History

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, are you saying that the laws extending the statute-of-limitations on sexual abuse was a tactic exclusively and intentionally made to just "target political opponents"...... is that what you are saying?

And if so, who are the 'political opponents' that these State Legislature laws were meant to "target"? After all, the laws were crafted and passed as bi-partisan.
So which party's accused sexual abusers were specifically 'targeted'?

And how or why would they be passed in a bi-partisan fashion if just one side's abusers would be targeted....and not the other's?

My suggestion, good poster Hollie is......well, to kind of sit down and think your suggestion through. Because.......well, because right now it makes no sense.

No disrespect intended.
I'd suggest you consider the timing of the change to the law. It was not just mere coincidence that Dem / Socialist controlled politicians and DA's decided ad they did to change existing law.

MAGA?
Make America great by destroying it?
Eh?

(I love this bar!)

Why don't you enlighten as as to the republican policies such as a secure border, less government deficit spending and less inflation that are destroying the nation?

You can start by describing how the Dem / Socialist open border and drug/ human smuggling Syndicate that allows terrorists to walk across the border benefits this country.

Trump was found liable by a jury of his peers in the 1st trial. Perhaps if Trump appeared at the trial to defend himself or called some witnesses he may have had a better result. He did not. He was found to have defamed E. Jean Carol. Now it is time to pay up.

Ummm, good poster Hollie..... you are letting your Alex Jones alter-ego pop out here. Conspiracy nutjobbery really is a thing.

Here's the real world reality on your --- '
let's-manipulate-the-statute-to-get-Trump' fantasy/nightmare.

First, the New York legislature in a bi-partisan fashion did NOT change the law to get Trump. Rather, they did it ---as did other states (see below) --- to better protect victims of sexual abuse and to afford them enhanced tools to bring the perpetrators to justice. Those tools included not only extending the statute-of-limitations, but laws regulating rape kits, and non-disclosure agreements, and other measures protecting victims. These measures were not intended to get Trump. Rather, they were results directly traceable to the political impact of the MeToo movement.

Women were fed up with the Harvey Weinsteins of the world....and took to political activism to get laws changed. Trump just happened to be lying in the road of that MeToo truck.

If you fret about New York extending the limitations statute, well, girlfriend.....you need also fret about the actions of these states who also....took on or are taking measures to better protect victims....and take away measures that advantaged the abusers, the predators:

  • Arkansas.
  • California.
  • Colorado.
  • Iowa.
  • Louisiana.
  • Minnesota.
  • Ohio.
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon.
  • Texas.
  • New York
ps....not ALL of those states are out to get Trump. Trust me.

This should be overruled by a higher court.

Trust me. To suggest it was mere coincidence that laws were changed in a Dem / Socialist controlled state is ludicrous.

Or, don't trust me. Trust the principles in the case.

E. Jean Carroll went on CNN with her attorney Roberta Kaplan went on with CNN to brag about how Carroll was only able to file the lawsuit after New York Democrats changed the laws and extended the statute of limitations for sexual assault in the state. This allowed E. Jean Carroll to sue Trump for a rape she said took place in a department store sometime in the 1990s during a shopping spree with the younger Donald Trump. She didn’t even have to give a date or a year to get the case to court in New York City.

Governor Hochul signed the act into law in May 2022 so that E. Jean Carroll could file her lawsuit against President Trump.

You were moist when you posted about the fierce eagle
.

And you expect all these good people to believe that you were here at my home and could tell, huh?

Okay, folks, I want you all to realize that this is a lie because I do not allow leftist vermin to ever enter my home. I tried it once and they stunk up the place so badly that it took a few months to get rid of the stench.

Does is matter if it is $83MM or $38MM?
The message has been sent.
Did rational folks think that the first $5.5MM awared (an now in a court escrow account) would have been a message of the same nature?

Sure we did.

But, it didn't seem to have been heard.
So, yesterday the same message was sent.
Except louder.
Meaning ------ 'STFU, Donny. And we really mean it this time'.

Poster Hollie, I was serious, how does the concept of "gerrymandering" apply to statute-of-limitations laws?

Are you sure you know what 'gerrymandering' is?

Just askin'.
MM means millimeters, not million, simplejack.
