Well, this is the thing. Democrats have months to hammer the message that this is totally on House Republicans - even Moscow Mitch doesn't want any part of it - and any negative consequences are totally the responsibility of the Republicans. The Democrats and President Biden have no responsibility or obligation to acquiesce to hostage demands or domestic financial terrorism. If Joseph Biden (God's choice) just tells them to pound sand, what are they going to do? Nothing. Because the 16 Republicans that won in Biden districts aren't going to jeopardize their futures to appease the Knuckledragger Caucus. And Chamber of Commerce Republicans are going to get bounced to the curb come fundraising time, because big business does not want this. They don't want more uncertainty in the markets.

In 1993 when Newt balanced the budget. Clinton signed a tax increase and Newt cut spending.

It takes BOTH to cut a $1-Trillion deficit. If the US Debt crashes the US economy you'll see how sick you are.
