He then proceeds to lose the election and embark on a temper tantrum to overturn an election..an attempt not seen in our republic's history.

But, Trump does nothing. If you don't believe me, just listen to the Woodward tapes. That's the problem with having a former reality TV star who not only has no interest in the job, but also has no idea of how government is supposed to work or how policy is made. His incompetence and inaction in responding to virus for over two months cause the spiral that led to the economic carnage. In the absence of any leadership from Trump or his team, governors, mayors, and business leaders had to step in (and are still having to) and make the tough decisions.
And I'd pay attention to current events.. The red states are the ones with major issues at the moment.

Not even close. Obama had his faults, mainly on the foreign policy side. But at no time was he ever worshiped by 45% of the population. Were there many African Americans that looked up to him? Sure. That's a pretty powerful thing to aspire to if you come from a world where you're always behind the eight ball. When Obama was elected, the mostly white right wing in this country collectively lost their shit. Up springs the Tea Party, the vicious Republican opposition, and eventually, alt-right media with its conspiracy theory laden cancers. The difference between Obama and Trump is that Trump MADE all of his own issues where as most of Obama's issues were MANUFACTURED by his opponents. Big difference.
Compare Obama's response to Trump's election in 2016 to his response to Biden's election this year. Night and day.
