I had to do some research to figure out who he was talking about, and it was Matthew Brodderick who was involved in an accident in Ireland. The authorities found no malice and no negligence in his actions, he was given a MINOR fine. Car accidents happen. Just ask Mitt Romney. Or Laura Bush.

Mel Gibson, on the other hand, only apologized for his outright anti-Semitism when he got caught driving under the influence. Besides producing the world's most anti-Semitic Snuff Film, (Passion of the Christ, which is a crap movie) Gibson HAS worked since the incident.
