The proponents at either end of the spectrum are nothing more than political snake-oil salesmen. Neither is particularly beneficial to any agenda or topic.

I cannot remember when the last time I heard Americans claiming to be in support of the political and economic theory which, in itself, is not defined in terms applicable in the 21st Century.
Group Think is a sign of the desire for all the sheep to play well together. Like so many other sets of conditions, we run into every day, Group Think is the process of teaching the group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. Politics is the strategy to exploit the weakness and herd the sheep together.

"Americans" is just too general when discussing ISRAEL for rather obvious reasons.
Again, most Jewish AMERICANS really don't care one way or the other about Israel. However, most Jewish AMERICANS will claim to care or back Israel publicly.
I believe most Jewish Americans that vote democrat (stats show 70%+ do) are torn about it. It is an issue that causes OBVIOUS COGNITIVE DISSONANCE with them. Most people deal with COGNITIVE dissonance by ignoring it or retorting angrily.
Give an example. The AMERICAN LEFT love to associate Trump with nazis along with every white Christian conservative. This is not up for debate, that is a fact.
However whenever someone like me points out that Trump has a train station named after Trump in Israel and a community (Golan Heights) named after Trump, this is IGNORED. Watch how it won't be addressed or some angry retort about me being a racist.
Doesn't fit the long well established narrative in the cultural marxist politically correct divide and conquer political strategy. That CONTRADICTS the claims of Trump or his voters being a nazi nazi nazi nazi.
In fact, the democrat voting base is overwhelmingly against Israel, which actually fits the narrative that it is the left wing socialists that more closely resemble nazi ideology.
Try starting a thread on the political board about being pro Israel. Watch the board leftists attack you. Remember, the left are the same ones who yell about GAY RIGHTS AND WOMEN'S RIGHTS. Israel is the only ME country that doesn't illegalize homosexuality and they don't execute their women for being raped.
Want to see who it is that rejected a two state solution. The country that people call Palestine (along with most muslim countries) has rejected that two state solution FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES.
There is no emotion there, only documented facts.

Ok, this is going to get tricky, but this is the main reason many or most Jewish Americans are Socialists or marxists. Most Jewish AMERICANS are descendants of the Jews that emigrated here at the turn of the 20th century. Many of them were from Russia, Poland etc. They felt and many in fact were persecuted. Especially at the hands of the czar etc. Most of those Jewish Russians were absolute sympathizers with the communist marx (who was Jewish by birth) revolution. They saw that as their liberation, so many that came here shared THOSE STORIES and they get passed down.
The Frankfurt School was founded in the 20s as a way to divide and conquer nations via political correctness.
Anyway, the marxism has replaced the Mosaic Law for many Jews. Most now are ignorant about the history and most now are simply under the spell of group think.

spiritually blind fools under the spell of group think where conformity is most essential.

Many American Jews support Israel
Not by voting democrat.
They don’t have any “ survival skills “
They support Israel but don’t understand why they vote blue
Bad habits die hard...
However, demographics have natural tendency to will shift things around.
It's is also clear who will be the majority of American Jews in a generation, those who make kids,
Jewish kids, and lots of them, just like in Israel Baruch HaShem.
Words of common sense, down to earth:
In response to a follow-up question about the president’s behavior as “sometimes less than a positive role model” Rabbi Kamenetsky – who has had decades of contact with politicians and wealthy men – said bluntly, “That has nothing to do with politics … That’s because he’s a gvir, a wealthy man.
“Ashir ya’aneh azus,” the Rabbi quoted. “Wealthy, powerful people have a way of speaking and acting that is not refined.
“That’s not a reason not to vote for him.”
Top American Rabbinical Leader Unequivocally Endorses President Trump for Second Term

Rather imperative to distinguish American Jews in regards to this issue. American Jews are distinct religion which is different from RACE. Religion is a daily CHOICE, race IS NOT.RE: The Star of David is deemed “Hateful Imagery” on Twitter

BLUF: OK, so some parts of this are most probably true. You cannot play-off the General Population by earmarking "American Jews." They are just "Americans."
(COMMENT)Far left hates Israel and hates American Jews ( for different reasons )
I'm not even sure that you can realistically apply the far "Left Wing" Politics or the far "Right Wing" to the issues related to Israel. The extremist in either political direction is moving away from a Government under the Rule of Law. To the far "Left" is in the direction of totalitarianism and the far "Right" is in the direction you discover anarchy.
The proponents at either end of the spectrum are nothing more than political snake-oil salesmen. Neither is particularly beneficial to any agenda or topic.

Very few American Jews are FAITHFUL to the Mosaic Law and they see themselves as leftists/marxists long before they see themselves as Jews faithful to their proclaimed beliefs. How many times have the prophets warned about wolves in sheep's clothing?
