Rafael Cruz should have just ignored the faux outrage from the fake news media and internet idiot brigades.

There would be less stress on the power grid if the people who had the means to evacuate did just that.

Cruz is a US Senator, not part of the executive branch. He has no authority to do anything in Texas.
