I live in a place where it snows a lot. But because I'm not insane, I recognize that if my state/region decides to take all the plows and salt trucks down in Jan-Feb, something has gone catastrophically wrong.

At that point I'm not blaming the weather. We ALL KNOW it snows in the winter here. I'm blaming the incompetents that decided NOT to fix the plows in July-August and chose the winter season.

My first graders could figure this out

But what blows my mind is the virtue signaling bullshit and proclamations of DEI being the single most important thing in the fire department. On a more important note, what's happening in California is the culmination of bad progressive policies over decades. Again, there are going to be be fires. And if people insist on building in fire prone areas, their homes are going to burn down. But the government can help mitigate that. That's what government is for! Instead, progressives are more interested in protecting some fucking two inch fish instead of protecting people's homes. That water reservoir being empty for nearly a year is a joke. That should have been fixed in a week. But progressives have made it so difficult getting anything done through rules and regulations, it can take years.

Biden's Rural Broadband Act is typical of progressive bullshit. This isn’t as life threatening as fire, but it shows how progressives are so incompetent. In the bill, before getting any money, ex-convicts have to be prioritized for hire and the county has to do a climate assessment of the project before receiving money for the project. That's members of the progressive coalition getting boxes ticked to make them happy. ITM there have been zero broadband connections made for a $43 billion program. If you want to know how bad progressives have become at getting anything done, listen to Ezra Klein, hardly a radical conservative.

And don't get me started on what has gone on in the UK and Europe. That migrants are committing sexual assault at a rate as much as over 100x the local population but people are being silenced because of "maintaining social cohesion" is fucking mind-boggling. The hate, anti-Semitism, and anti-Western ideals and values these people are bringing should not be tolerated nor allowed. If you think women are property, gays should be tossed off buildings, and Jews should be eradicated, you should not be allowed into this country. Seems like a no-brainer to me. But not to progressives. To the retarded progressives, we can't question their belief systems because "all societies are equal." Well, except of course the West, which is inherently evil.

On immigration, I don't think any crime should be tolerated, but I kinda sorta understand petty crime. I'm not excusing it, but people will do what they have to do to survive.

That's very different from sexual assault. Sexual assault is a cultural thing. It demonstrates how people from a culture view women. You might steal to eat but you do not rape a woman because you're starving. We should not be letting in people who think sexually assaulting women is ok. And if most of most of those people are Muslims, fuck 'em. Immigrants need to adapt to our culture. We shouldn't have to adapt to their culture.

FTR 1.5 million Iranians, mostly Muslims, fled Iran after the Islamic Revolution. How many terrorist attacks were there from these Iranian Muslims in the 1980s? None that I can remember. So I'm not convinced that all of Islam is bad. But there have been something like 46,000 terrorist attacks by Islamists since 9/11. So there is clearly something in Islamic culture that is rotten and should be considered when allowing immigrants into the country.
