The current version of the "Big Beautiful Bill" now stands to add considerably more debt than the original House bill that was passed. The Republicans for years have screamed about out of control spending. Trump repeatedly criticized Obama for the amount of debt added during his administration.

Does MAGA support adding another $4 trillion in debt for their children and grandchildren to pay off?

Politicians from either party do not understand the concept of less spending.
Cutting spending isn't very effective at lowering debt when you cut taxes far more.

doing nothing does the same if not more, and increases your taxes 68%. sometimes the stupid you all pass out is too stupid to accept.

Both parties accuse the other of adding to the debt, and both are right. Just remember, it's only the other guy adding to the debt that is bad.

Biden had a debt over his first 3 years of a little over 6 trillion dollars, not counting his last fiscal year, which averages out to around 2 trillion dollars per year, which would be about 8 trillion over a 4 year period. The projected 4 trillion BBB debt is for a 10 year period, which is a very huge decrease over Biden's 8 trillion over just 4 years. The left don't like to come clean about that.

Indy, the argument the unrealistics are making is that there ought not be any new debt. And there is no way yet, it has to be in stages, and the first stage needed is to not let our tax system default September, cause that is a guaranteed 4 trillion debt doing nothing.

It's actually funny to hear democrats, who would gladly add another 50 trillion dollars onto our debt to fight mother nature, complain about Trump adding only 4 trillion over 10 years.

I really dislike articles like this. We are talking numbers here. What is LIKELY? It undoubtedly will add to the debt, but using incendiary predictions that are predicated on political bias, IMHO, is not convincing. I want to see facts--not "likely" or "could add" I am a firm believer in a balanced budget amendment that addresses active attempts to REDUCE DEBT, not just reducing the deficit. The only way to accomplish that is to stop DEFICIT SPENDING.

Wasn't this already fully expected?

It's call Dem PROPAGANDA. Dems love to puff things up over 10 years while assuming the bill will have no positive effects whatsoever then spew their PROPAGANDA.

There were a handful of parliamentarian opinions in the Senate about the Byrd Rule that would prohibit some matters from being included in a reconciliation bill that could alter it further.

And what did the Progs do the last 4 years. You guys were rioting and destroying properties over DOGE. To get to a balance budget surgical cuts must be made. And the Progs are not going for it. Their answer is tax the rich. At every level of government. You tax them more, yet it is a pittance to the deficits anyway. When you come to power again at the federal level raise the taxes on rich people and corporations to 90%. You talk it, now do it.

So half of bidens 4 year debt, in one deal. And somehow thats a good thing.
Thats not even counting that trump is still first in one term debt of any president in our Nations history. So he will probably be number 1 and 2.
Biggest RINO in the R party.

We have an electoral "system" that incentivizes and rewards fiscal insanity. So we get spending that's too high and taxes that are too low. What a shock. Regardless of what the partisans claim, it's both, not just one or the other.

We don't care enough to change the system, so we deserve what we get.

You've got in wrong. Biden racked up 8 trillion dollars worth of debt in four years. This is 4 trillion dollars in debt over 10 years.

Which is still unacceptable. The US needs to start living within its means like most fiscally responsible adults do in their personal lives. Continually rising debt is a losing proposition.
