Denominations don't mean one thing to God. If you never set foot in a church, you can give your life to Christ. His grace can even save a criminal on a cross. Church is not a prerequisite, Christ is.
If there are other ways to get to Heaven, find me the Bible verses that tell us all the other ways.
How many good works do you need to go to heaven without Christ?
If you don't know about Christ or were never baptized, picture Abraham, Moses, and the Egyptians about 1400 BC, can you get to heaven? Catholics say yes if Jesus judges your life positively.
- Christ is the only source of salvation,
- But His grace can reach people outside the Church,
- Especially those who seek truth and goodness sincerely.
If the righteous go to heaven, where do the unrighteous go? Is there some other place the Bible forgot to tell us about?
If any denomination believes that Christ is not the only way to the Father, do we scratch the scripture out of our Bibles that say He IS the only way?
John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, except through Me.
If you are correct, then Christ is lying to us.
All that says is that Jesus is the judge of our lives, whether we know about Jesus or not.
Going to Jesus' Father is "heaven". Not easy to do.
Jesus stated that the way to heaven is difficult and the gate is narrow, saying, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it" (Matthew 7:13-14)
So where else can you go after you die and your soul is hanging around?
Do the demons come for you and drag you to hell like in "Ghost"? Heaven or hell, no purgatory or limbo?
If you are not fully committed, i.e. you are "lukewarm", you get vomited out. I thought this meant the "Big Bang", where you aren't good enough for heaven or bad enough for hell, you get sent to a universe like ours to try again, ~purgatory.
The phrase "I will vomit you out of my mouth" is found in Revelation 3:16. This verse is part of a message directed to the Church in Laodicea, where it serves as a strong warning about spiritual complacency.
