Keep in mind, this CR is almost the same exact CR that they passed during Biden's term. Stewart is partially wrong here. He thinks the democrats caved. They caved on one issue. The extended ACA subsidies. But this is just the battle.

Every time the GOP passes this CR, they're caving to some BS the democrats put it when Biden was in office, instead of 12 separate, single issue spending bills.
The able bodied welfare sponges are still going to get their $2,000+ per month SNAP benefits. The Dept. of Education is still getting funded. Along with all the other government agencies.

This is a victory for the big government RINO's and democrats. The ACA subsidies are still getting funded. The only thing cut were the extended ACA subsidies that came with Covid.

Grok: Are normal ACA subsidies still getting funded with the new continued resolution?

Yes, normal ACA subsidies (the standard premium tax credits established under the Affordable Care Act) remain fully funded under the new continuing resolution (CR) passed by the Senate on November 10, 2025, and expected to clear the House shortly thereafter.

Also, within a couple of weeks, the GOP will more than likely pass another spending bill that'll include the extended covid ACA subsidies. That's the deal Thune and the RINO's made with Schumer. This is only a short term victory of a small battle. The democrat will win this war, because the RINO's are weak.

Wow. You have a very active imagination. Pretty much every democrat and their media are attacking the 8 senators and Schumer for caving. That doesn't sound to me like it was the republicans who caved.

So Schumer shut down the government for kicks? Good luck with that one. You loons got nothing, no spinning reality.

If the end result is the same, what difference does it make. A government shut down is more of a charade than anything.

If anything comes out of this, it's s realization that shutdowns DO NOT WORK!

The side shutting down the government always capitulates in the end.

Can't imagine how the Dems hypnotized themselves into believing it would work for them when it's literally neve worked for Republicans.

Live and learn.

Sides. How 'both those sides, eh?

Are you pro the government being shut down or left open?

Because it's not supposed to "sound" like anything. And those that are attacking the the 8 senators, are probably retarded for not understanding how DC works. How the uniparty works. And that both sides will get what they want in the end.

The majority of the democrat voters are claiming this is a victory because SNAP benefits will be issued soon.

Both sides are claiming victory. Except for us fiscal conservatives, and the rich democrats who weren't getting snap benefits or ACA subsidies.

Those 8 Dem's who caved think they got something meaningful in return. A promise Senate R's would vote on a bill to extend the ACA tax credits written by D's.

I suppose the thinking being to get R's on the record screwing people dependent on ACA plans for their healthcare.

Memo to the defectors, Mike Johnson is likely to give the idea of putting the House R caucus on the record voting to screw their constituents a big middle finger.

So tell me again, what concession did you get?

Schumer caved to the radical Marxists in his own party. AOC, et al because they are threatening to take over. They wanted free healthcare for illegals through the States who are currently using federal tax dollars to provide free health care for illegals. Long story short, those 14 million illegals Biden let in are seen as voters or at least counted by the census.

Pretty much everyone on the left are attacking the 8 senators and are also going after Schumer for allowing them to cave.

So what? They're upset with them now. But within a few weeks, when the ACA extended subsidies get funded, per the deal that the RINO's made, then they'll be deemed geniuses.

FFS, this CR was a loss for the GOP when it passed in Dec., March and now.

Well, it's not a loss for the RINO's. Because they're basically dem-lites.

Our whole government is completely controlled by social programs, subsidies government employees and contracts. We will someday learn that what government gives it can take away. Every social program addition the politicians make, it is difficult to cut. Look at the arguments over the temporary subsidies on top of the subsidies for the ACA and the argument over why we should have 42 million on SNAP instead of the 19 million on SNAP we had 4 years ago.
