Keep in mind, this CR is almost the same exact CR that they passed during Biden's term. Stewart is partially wrong here. He thinks the democrats caved. They caved on one issue. The extended ACA subsidies. But this is just the battle.
Every time the GOP passes this CR, they're caving to some BS the democrats put it when Biden was in office, instead of 12 separate, single issue spending bills.
The able bodied welfare sponges are still going to get their $2,000+ per month SNAP benefits. The Dept. of Education is still getting funded. Along with all the other government agencies.
This is a victory for the big government RINO's and democrats. The ACA subsidies are still getting funded. The only thing cut were the extended ACA subsidies that came with Covid.
Grok: Are normal ACA subsidies still getting funded with the new continued resolution?
Yes, normal ACA subsidies (the standard premium tax credits established under the Affordable Care Act) remain fully funded under the new continuing resolution (CR) passed by the Senate on November 10, 2025, and expected to clear the House shortly thereafter.
Also, within a couple of weeks, the GOP will more than likely pass another spending bill that'll include the extended covid ACA subsidies. That's the deal Thune and the RINO's made with Schumer. This is only a short term victory of a small battle. The democrat will win this war, because the RINO's are weak.
