I think this site (and other mediums like it, like social media) are safe spaces where a lot of people who have hateful/crazy/wild/ignorant/uninformed thoughts to just spew said thoughts and entertain themselves by getting others all worked up.

This is why things seem so crazy. More and more important discourse has moved online, amidst the people who are entertaining themselves by acting like jackasses to try to feel like they have some influence on the world cause they don't in real life. Perfect reason for why people should conduct themselves online in the exact same manner as they would if the person on the screen was standing right in front of you in reality.

Further, it's why people who speak in hyperbole daily like Trump, Maxine Waters and others and such seem fairly normal. What they're saying is said by thousands of tards daily on the internets.
