Walsh is on my Twitter feed, and he occasionally posts messages he gets from Trumpsters calling him a "commie" and all the other stuff we see here.

Like many others, he's horrified at what's happened to the party, but he also accepts responsibility for letting it happen. Worst of both worlds for him.
