The REAL Reason Folks are Fleeing Honduras....

So... you want us to invade a country and do a regime change there so that people no longer want to leave the country? What's the U.S. record for success when they've done that in the past?
Intervention only on behalf of exploiting companies.
A Century of U.S. Intervention Created the Immigration Crisis

Yep. Add the misguided War on Drugs that shovels billions of American dollars into the coffers of cartels, enabling these monsters to buy guns by the shipload, and most of these countries' police and large parts of their legislatures on top of that.

... and keep up the good fight. Something must be done in the U.S. of Amnesia for this U.S.-inflicted cauldron of misery to come to an end.

Agreed and it must be remembered that several large multinational banks love all that money the cartels bring them to launder.

Honduran president's brother arrested in Miami on drug charges | Reuters

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - The brother of Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez was arrested on Friday in the United States on drug trafficking charges, the Honduran government said on Friday.

Juan Antonio “Tony” Hernandez, a 40-year-old lawyer and former ruling party lawmaker, was arrested by U.S. authorities in Miami, the president’s office said in a statement.

The president’s brother is the latest in a string of prominent Hondurans, including three congressmen, who have been charged in the United States for involvement with drug trafficking.

“This is a heavy blow for the whole family,” the president told reporters in his hometown of Gracias, in western Honduras. “I hope the justice system gives him the room to defend himself, and as a family, we will do what we can to support him.”

Looks like the ruling "family business" is going to take a BIG HIT on their American market share..

For cripes sakes, dont dick around with refugee streams.. Work to FIX THE BASIC PROBLEM...
What they`re fleeing from is crony Capitalism, not drug gangs. Nobody is fleeing quasi-socialistic Costa Rica.
Lol
We need to tell these diseased illegal aliens to fuck off....

Good point, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, shall we? The U.S. will turn Honduras into the Switzerland of Central America before they seriously lay a hand on any of the major banks.

As much as our political fundamentalists want to lay blame on the "other side" for this situation, the REAL problem is why so many people are so fucking DESPERATE to get here in the FIRST place.

But the fundamentalists don't see any short term political advantage in addressing the REAL problem, so they AVOID it and keep pointing the finger at each other.

Our fundies are killing us.

Can The Basic Problem Be Fixed ??

The Leaders Come Out Of The People
Wouldn't The People Be The Same As Their Leaders
Given The Same Opportunity ??

Maybe The Problem Is Cultural
If you think the American political class is just like the average Joe American, you need to think again. They are criminals of the worst kind.

Why are they fleeing the socialist paradise of Venezuela for the quasi-capitalist Colombia?

Besides, Costa Rica is a predominately white country and certainly not socialist.
Venezuela is a sad mindless dictatorship, not socialist. I said Costa Rica is quasi socialist with pensions and healthcare for all. There are NO purely socialist countries. Costa Rica is the only Central American country that people are trying to get into, not out of and they`ve had universal healthcare since 1961. Unlike Americans, most Costa Ricans are happy civil people. I visit there every chance I get. Unlike the MAGA people skin color doesn`t matter to them and they`re not afraid to leave their homes without a gun tucked in their bras.

That we start addressing the core problem. I assumed that would be obvious. That would require both of our "major" parties collectively holding the leaderships of Mexico and South America responsible for the misery they have enabled & created. Offering our assistance (military, if necessary) to go after the cartels. Maybe establish a GSE to invest significantly in those countries with the backing of our military if those investments are fucked with or stolen. Make that region a massive source of low-end manufacturing and replace China with it. Kill two huge birds with one stone.

Maybe we could practice a little intellectual elasticity for a change, and start working together to solve our problems.

Let's THINK a little.

Just kidding. I'm a kidder. I know we can't do that any more.

The US government is more likely to collude with the big banks in the drug trade, to enrich itself. It also is likely to protect these criminal banks before ever bringing legal action against them, for their criminal activities.

Read it and weep, and then read and weep some more, Gipper.

Perhaps someone should tell them how much more they could generate in revenues in case they took over the drug trade and taxed it appropriately. But then they no longer could throw Blacks by the trainload behind bars, could they?

What makes you say that the immigrants are the WORST? I haven`t seen anyone in the caravan wearing a MAGA hat.

The BASIC PROBLEM is US support for corrupt politicians across Central America including Honduras.

U.S. backs re-election of Honduran president despite vote controversy | Reuters

"WASHINGTON/TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - The United States on Friday backed the re-election of Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez despite widespread misgivings about the vote count, prompting the opposition candidate to describe his bid for the presidency as a 'lost cause.'"

The current turmoil in Honduras began in 2009 when Obama turned a blind eye to what amounted to a military coup in that country.

As long as US banks launder drug profits and US arms makers supply most of the guns, criminals will continue turning their countries into shit-holes.

What a surprise! The common denominator of all the shithole nations is that they also happen to be cesspools of political corruption and cronyism. Who woulda thunk?

Pretty good actually. Iraq is much better now than under Saddam. Afghanistan is better without the Taliban running the country too.

We can understand the proximity of Soros in Honduras, or even in Clinton's county in New York state.
