The Rapture is upon us, according to TikTokers, some of whom have latched on to a prediction that on Tuesday, Sept. 23 — today — Jesus Christ will return to Earth and take true believers to Heaven.

Some evangelical Christians believe the Bible predicts such an event, known as the Rapture, which essentially marks the beginning of the end of human history. They interpret parts of the Christian New Testament as describing the Rapture, including a passage from First Thessalonians that says followers of Christ “who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”

It is not uncommon for various individuals and groups to predict specific dates for the Rapture, sometimes through interpreting passages and events in the Bible, and sometimes claiming they received visions. None of the predictions have obviously come to pass. In recent days, a prediction spread through social media that the Rapture would occur Tuesday, and on TikTok, the hashtag #rapturenow has over 311,000 videos — some of which endorsed the prediction, while many others poked fun at it.

I hope all the so-called "Christians" are ready. It will make it easier for me to to go COSTCO Combination Pizza to go for the next 49er's Game

Predicting the Rapture is much like predicting the quake that would tear California off the U.S. Coast. I've lived through 8-of them so far.

Matthew 24:36

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Just more people who have no idea what the Bible actually says.

The Trumpsters are gonna be even more pissy than usual. They thought they were leaving.

The Rapture was RIGGED!

By the way, this was only predicted by a South African pastor.

Yet you keep telling us we have 10 years...5 years...3 years left before "global warming" destroys the planet, unless we all pay higher taxes right now. And you actually think we're as dumb as you are and would believe that!

I missed it while working, but there are still lots of assholes on the road.

Heck, if you can't trust a SA pastor, who can you trust? Right?

Your dog of course.

LOL, I recall the Heaven's Gate cult in 1997 committing mass suicide in San Diego in 1997. Seems they thought the rapture would come in conjunction with Comet Kohotek IIRC. SMH, there must be something in the water.

They’ll just move their prediction to a later date

Like they’ve been doing every time their other predictions were wrong and do again when the next ones are wrong
