What happens when Muslim children read the Qur'an and see in it: "kill the unbelievers", or "kill them wherever you find them" or something like that ?
As we know, these commands are found at numerous places in the Qur'an, and in the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
However, who, in his right mind, even as a child, would think that this means to take arms and go kill unbelievers ?
Answer is simple: no one. If children, they draw and paint and watch cartoons. They play and they eat and drink, and look to the beautiful world around them. They never think, never happens, that such and such means go kill people. If adults it is who read it, they understand from it that early Islam was at war, heavy war, against enemies greatly contentious. And Muslims have always been a minority from the start. They fought and grew slowly slowly, until the Muslim nation became a "worldwide" empire, but the staunch fighting was at the time of minority, during early Islam, by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Fighting Prophet and his Companions (may God be well pleased with them). But never does an adult who reads this thinks he has to go kill anyone. Is one foolish enough to believe "kill the unbelievers" mean to Muslims they must "go kill the unbelievers" ?
People, now, will use that book to become famous, that's all there is to it, it is their only goal. Many of them have succeeded in this regard, Bin Laden, Baghdadi, Mullah Omar, Abubakar Shekkau and so many others, even some from Europe, like Jihadi John.
So no, leave the Qur'an, Islam and the Muslims out of that. They are not responsible for any of the doings of those people. Any claim contrary to that is a shameless vulgar lie from most despicable liars.
