"vera.org?" Really?
The 98% and 95% figures are for adults and children represented by lawyers in that "org." so of course they have a reason to pump up their number. My guess is that when a client does not show up, they drop them as clients and therefore they do not count in the figures of "SAFE clients."
But it doesn't matter, its an advertising site with no credibility and it presents no evidence in spite of the headline. Here is a much better one:
According to EOIR data, from fiscal years 2016 through 2023, the total in absentia rate was 34 percent for removal cases of non-detained respondents. EOIR calculates the in absentia rate by dividing the number of in absentia removal orders by the number of immigration judges' initial decisions resolving cases. The rate varied by certain characteristics, such as court location, legal representation status, and demographic characteristics.

Those who are given final orders of removal, in absentia or otherwise, are the ones being deported now, along with violent criminals. So, as I said, they refused their chance at due process, so the removal hearing without them, WAS their due process.
Now, you can answer this question:
If deporting a planeload of illegal immigrants prevents even one American from being murdered, or even one child from being gang-raped and trafficked, is it worth it?
