The U.S.S.R was a prime example. China had to introduce the free market investments and allow people to become wealthy to give jobs because the government could not afford it anymore. I think we'll see soon enough who Trump's real allies are as DOGE clashes with the current Republican leadership. He's gonna have to pick one or the other when it comes to the power of his pen.

So far as optimism? I just know how it ends. When people have nothing else to lose...they lose it. I'm looking forward to that when it does happen. And it will. In time.

But yeah. I remember the days when there was a new PAC coming out of the woodwork every other month or so. That happened a lot back during the first ten years of the 2000s and just got worse. I get all of that.

So far as Reagan goes, people talk about being a ''Reagan Conservative'' all of the time. There is Social Security, medicare, medicaid, workman's comp and many other taxes corporations pay that individuals pay very little. And, some not at all. Corporations create jobs for illegal immigrants to work illegally in. They create jobs for middle Americans even forced to pay high minimum wages as well. Which is a tax.
