  • The Onion, the satirical news site, bought Alex Jones's Infowars at an auction.
  • Jones had been found liable for defaming the Sandy Hook families and ordered to pay nearly $1.5 billion.
  • Under The Onion, the revamped Infowars will feature ads from Everytown for Gun Safety.
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones's Infowars has a new home — and it's not the one he wanted.

The Onion, the satirical publication, announced on Thursday that it had purchased the disgraced far-right commentator's company at auction. The terms of the sale weren't disclosed.

Well now, ain't that some shit.

I don't think I will fair as well with making a "The Onion was right jar". ;)

Jones is a loon but right more than wrong.

Apparently SOME opinions aren't free speech. Not a fan of Jones but he has been denied his right to his opinion

Nah, just found liable for his defamation. You or he can say anything, as long having deep enough pockets to pay for damage if wrong.

It was supposed to be an open auction to the highest bidder by then the judge changed channels and steered the sale to the most opposite, anti-gun site he could find as an insult to Jones and his Info Wars.
Did you expect anything else?

Nobody's going to listen to them.
