OK, the new rumor has it that Michael Keaton will be playing The Joker in the next Batman movie. Whaddaya think? I sort of think it could work, and it's a pretty ballsy idea. Technically, Beetlejuice was just a darker version of The Joker, so that may be what they're going for.

I'd sell the 89 version in a two disc set with pics side by side. Ironic indeed. Imagine Michael on the set in joker regalia telling the new director "When I was batman we did it this way........."

I'm inclined to agree, but I think whoever the new Joker is, they'll take it in such a different direction that the two won't even be comparable.
