While the number of monthly Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests has risen steadily over the first year of Trump’s second term, the percentage of those arrested who have no criminal convictions or pending charges has also gone up.

Our analysis of ICE arrest data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found a doubling over time of the percentage without criminal records, meaning neither convictions nor charges. In Trump’s first three months in office, 21.9% of those arrested had no criminal record. The percentage rose to 34.2% in Trump’s second three months, and then to 40.5% in the three months ending in mid-October.

In January, nearly 43% of those detained had no convictions or charges, according to publicly available ICE data.

Meanwhile, the percentage of those arrested by ICE who have criminal convictions — not merely pending charges — fell from 44.7% in Trump’s first three months to 31.8% in the three months ending in mid-October.

You can protest, but that doesn’t mean you have to be blocking them, throwing things at them, screaming, and yelling at them, blowing whistles in their ear, doxxing them, and threatening to kill them.

I agree that is 100% the reason. Not having ice agents wear masks would do nothing for them in the present moment. Being able to see their face is not going to be able to tell them whether or not they’re really an ice age or not. It’s not like they’ll be able to roll up in the middle of an arrest to say hey stop I want to first verify you are who you say you are before you continue with this arrest.

By the time we find out who the ice agent is, it’ll be several hours or even days later

They want to be able to put their faces online so people will be able to match names and addresses with it so they can use intimidation to get them to stop doing their jobs

Actually, you are a little confused. Democrats released people who had served their time, because it's not their job to hold people for ICE. they need those cells for serious criminals.
