For me, I see the main issue with the 9/11 conspiracy theories is a lack of real, credible experts on the conspiracy side. Yes, ae911 has many on their list. However, this is just to be on a list to appeal Congress for more investigation, an “independent” investigation. Still, many on that list have little or zero experience in the area needed to question the investigation. For those listed on the ae911 list if they believed in the 9/11 conspiracy theories, why don’t all of them publicly say so? Why don’t they show through analysis their theories? Probably because most of them are just calling for more investigation without actually believing all the conspiracy theories postulated by many 9/11 theorists. Perhaps they are seeking for government work?
As a licensed structural engineer, I try to face the reality of the situation. The fact is there were hundreds of real experts who conducted their independent detailed investigations, who had all the access to the data and information available and who have the proper credentials. Before anyone responds to this post to provide me with more “evidence” or “proof”, I would like them to discredit the following list of actual, credible engineers in the correct field, contained here (which is only a portion of those involved in the investigation): American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Here is a quick list of what type of experts this list contains:
The entire list contained on ae911, although they may have their own areas of expertise, could not hold a candle to the small list above which is just a portion of the team of experts involved in investigating 9/11.
Also, before anyone says “well…they are part of the government, so they are in on it”, consider this: ASCE is an independent organization made up of thousands of credible and ethical engineers in the United States. They are not a government entity; all you need to do is look at the places in which the engineers on this list work (mostly companies in the private sector). The ASCE teams were also not funded by the government either, read the last sentence before the list: “Funding for the teams is made available through the ASCE Voluntary Fund.” The NIST team also included many of the leading private engineering corporations as part of their efforts, including the original engineering firm for the towers.
Until someone can discredit the vast majority of credible engineers with applicable experience and education, the 9/11 theorists have no case. I would say the following in hopes that those who believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories would listen and we could have a rational discussion:

- I believe we should question government, yet we shouldnÂ’t let resentment fuel our suspicions to the point of using selective reasoning.
- I have seen lies and deception from the 9/11 conspiracy side that should be questioned just as the government should be. We shouldnÂ’t allow deception on one side and not on the other. Look into the lies on the conspiracy side and question it to the same degree you question the government. Perhaps then people will take you seriously.
- There are actual real issues involved with the events of 9/11, which are better discussed. Such as: how do we design buildings to protect from such events? How do we create better diplomatic solutions to resolve issues from terrorist groups? How do we have better emergency management procedures? How can we communicate better during such emergencies? For me, these are some of the real issues surrounding the events of 9/11.
