The Luftwaffe Flies Again! How Cute!

Yeah, The EU taking action to prevent a US invasion of a NATO ally is something to be proud of or make fun of....Idiot MAGAs.
Have you seen the EU in action? They couldn't handle Kosovo or Libya without us. They deserve ridicule and scorn in equal measures.

Hey folks, the EU and NATO are two different things, and they have little to do with one another.
Must I clarify? The Europeans working without us and only with their EU compatriots. I had thought you wouldn't require such hand holding. I'll not make that mistake again.

I see you can't dispute the Europeans' inability to do anything militarily without us.

Did your AI tell you that? People are confusing the two entities for NATO and the EU. You should be more specific. The troops in Greenland are from EU members and not from NATO. NATO is commanded by our USAF general. I'm sorry that you seem unfamiliar with those facts.

EU members who are also members of NATO. There has been off and on discussions about an EU military force separate from NATO for decades that never resulted in anything. Why exactly would I need to mention that an American general would most certainly not allow a NATO delegation under his command to undermine US foreign policy objectives? Are you becoming a liberal rube?

No, you are comparing two different organizations unnecessarily. Those are technically not NATO troops authorized on a mission by NATO. Now do you understand? NATO and the EU are NOT the same thing. Canada is part of NATO, and not the EU, just like the US. Apparently you knew none of this.

You don't understand why the U.S. alone is stronger than the U.S. and Europe?

Have you seen Europe's reaction to Russia's invasion of Ukraine? Have you seen the billions the U.S. spends protecting Europeans from each other?

Recommend you pause the philosophizing and apply common sense.
So now you want to attack NATO.

So they are rogue actors, time to invoke Article 5. Is Greenland not protected by NATO? Yet unaffiliated foreign troops are storming the place.

I just explained that I obviously did understand the difference, your hubris blocks you from comprehension.

15th post
If NATO's mission is now to protect European nations' American territory against the United States, then it seems a bit odd that the United States would continue to be the primary funder of NATO. Time to zero that budget out.

I'm glad to see the humor of the situation is not lost on everyone.
  1. The USA attacked no one, just suggests it might be interested in Greenland and half of Europe sends aging troops and planes. Meanwhile, the USA has actually done nothing.
  2. Meanwhile we all know that if China or Russia were interested, they would consider it a key, strategic investment welcomed with open arms.
  3. NATO is effectively attacking/defending itself from NATO.
  4. Without the USA, there is no NATO.
  5. What if France, Italy, or England invaded/attacked Greenland? Would Germany still send troops to defend?
  6. If China or Russia actually attacked/invaded Greenland, Europe would do nothing, maybe demand the USA take action.
  7. Meanwhile, Trump has both brilliantly tricked the EU into showing its real colors while likewise tricking them into deterring China et al from thinking about Greenland.
  8. What is the point funding NATO, an organization defending itself against the prime investor into NATO? What does that say when a primary member of NATO extending an umbrella of NATO protection over defenseless Greenland is seen by the rest of NATO as a threat/problem instead of an asset? I mean, isn't what's good for the USA also good for them and NATO?
Apparently not.

Well put.

I was just thinking about your point six. if russia invaded Greenland, would Denmark really be able to defend Greenland?

I don't see how. They would immediately look to the united states to see what we would do.
