PFft. That's mid-April where I'm from.

Yeah, for certain parts of the country, this looks like nothing. Considering I was running the air conditioner a month ago, today is pretty harsh. Not sure what the temperature is right here, but Dallas is showing 22 degrees with a 15 mph wind out of the North.

We ain't used to this crap down here. If it's 105 in early July, no big deal.

Too bad you can't take a picture of the wind chill factor.
Now take that picture, and add snow about half way up that mailbox.
insert -20 with the wind chill factor.....
It'll start to look like Colorado Springs in the last few days.

DAMN!
the dude washin the windows outside showed me his bucket
of cleaner fluid which is almost frozen. That's funny because
it has antifreeze in it and is supposed to stay protected in -30
degree temps. He left it in his truck overnight.

Then your old wrinkled ass would probably fall off in Colorado.
It's up to -15 now.
Probably..I've spent my time in some of the coldest damn places on earth, airport ramps. One was Bangor Maine. I'll never forget that cold, -5 air temp wind blowing and snow falling, and I'm standing out there supervising refueling in a London Fog overcoat. :rotflmao:

One of the coldest places I have been was in Niagara Falls in December. The humidity from the falls is killer in the winter there. The absolute coldest was winter camping here in CO, one night I was out near Craig, CO it was -36 w/a wind chill factor of -70. We dug a snow cave because the wind cut right through the tent... In the snow cave you place your sleeping bag on pallets then light sterno, the cave was probably 76 degrees in the positive one of the best nights camping ever....

Come and visit me around August 1st. If you don't burst into flames, we'll go out to the lake with some friends of mine, maybe build a fire. :)

We have a summer in Upstate New York, too. In fact, I believe next year, it's scheduled for July 8th between 3:00 and 3:15 PM....

You're lucky. For us it's August 25th - 5:00-5:05 pm. I've already rented a cottage so I can spend the season at the lake. Yeah me!

Another day, another $243. :(

(yawn)

I finally broke down and got a camcorder - my previous vid recorder was a JVC Circa 1998. VHS-C. Yesterday we received our new Canon ZR-200 digital. It's pretty slick - takes SD memory cards or Mini DV tapes.

$265 shipped from Dell.
