I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Besides the poem my son wrote I got a very nice spin casting rig for my fishing endeavors next year. Got it from my boys, but I had to promise to take them striper fishing with me; I guess I talked it up a lot last summer!

Dropping a few hints can prevent those horrible gifts that you have to pretend to like.-----you got 2 cool gifts!!

When I was a kid, trout fishing was my passion. There were a lot of little streams near our house just loaded with brook trout and I loved fishing for em.

Snowing up here. To hear the local weathermen tell it, it's darn near the storm of the century! We do have a bit of accumulation (8" to 15" predicted) but it isn't anywhere near like what they had in the Midwest this past week.

We jumped back to the high 60s yesterday and sunny---took advantage of it and raked and mowed

Well, we had snow night before last, and the mess is still on the ground. We didn't get that much but our roads are still covered. I hope it melts today, I can't drive the truck in this mess and I know I'm going to have to work tonight. UGGH!!

It really sounds strange to hear the words "raked and mowed" as a recent activity in the Christmas holiday season! Very strange indeed!

LOL!! I remember many Christmas' growing up, going to grandmas for Christmas dinner in shorts, lol! Man, I love those days!! :D

You can go ou tin shorts up here for Christmas...for about 10 seconds. Then someone will callthe police and the men in white coats to come either to arrest you or find a nice rubber room for you.

Guess that's why I like a mild winter---I'm an outside sorta guy and the exercise helps me feel better too!

LMAO!!
It's like that here today. Although it looks like the sun is trying awfully hard to warm us up!
