The Insanity of Voting by Mail

OK, let's test this out. Let's begin the "Mail-in Ballot Challenge!"

I want every Democrat, journalist, and Lincoln Project "Republican" to show me how confident they are with this new voting scheme.

It's a simple challenge: Send me your cash.

Yup. Send me $1,000 cash in an envelope marked, "This envelope contains $1,000 in cash."

Email me at [email protected] and I'll give you the address to send the cash.

Take the challenge and prove to me that my precious vote is safe and sound in the hands of USPS.

Never mind the fact that banks and utility companies and even the postal service itself warn you to never send cash in the mail, it's safe. Everything's fine.

Don't worry, when your cash gets to me, I will send it right back to you. I'm not going to keep it. This is just a test to prove how sound our mail-in balloting scheme is.

The blob sent out millions of 1,200 dollar checks using the same post office you think will steal this money.

Your post fails the logic test and the opposition to using the post office fails to recognize the history from Spring. Surely you remember the first round of stimulus checks, don't you?
There were not millions of checks. They were direct deposited.

You really shouldn't post lies like that.

There were 159 million checks sent out last spring.

Which is more than people who usually vote in an election. For example, in 2016, 128,824,246 people voted.

The government sent out more stimulus checks this last spring than as many people voted in the 2016 election.

Do you want to try another lie? I'm having fun tearing your lies apart.

For the first time in my life I did mail in. With the virus and all I decided to try it. I was kinda nice. I could sit down at my computer and research each candidate before placing my vote.
You do know, don't you, that you can research each candidate before going to the poll and casting your vote?

Sure but this was so easy. I believe we should make voting as easy as possible for as many as possible. It is a Constitutional right after all.
it's always been available. your argument goes out with the trash because of that. people don't vote because they are disinterested. you're factually wrong yet again.

For whatever reason people do not vote does in no way change or affect what I said. My statement was not a right or wrong statement. It was a statement of what I believe. Voting should be made as easy and convenient as possible.

My state does just that. We have one of the most easiest and convenient voting systems in the nation.

The result:

A republican can't get elected dog catcher here.

That is why republicans are so against mail in voting. The cheating of suppressing votes can't happen. If more people vote, republicans lose.

That is the ONLY reason why they are against mail in voting.

It's not the "mail-in" part of "mail-in voting" that's the problem, it's the "mail-out" part.

We are told by the Democratic Party that there is nothing to be concerned about with the head-long march toward mail-in voting.

Of course, it wasn't too long ago when these same Democrats were warning us of the dangers of mail-in voting, but pay no attention to that, they used to pretend they wanted border security.

Nevermind the fact that many countries around the world have banned mail-in voting because of the obvious and wide-open opportunities for voter fraud, we are told that here in America, the practice of sending tens of millions of ballots to every registered voter whether they request them or not and then returning those tens of millions of ballots to the postal service is the only way to ensure a safe and sound election.

BJ -
Democrats are usually against something before they find out how to manipulate that thing to their advantage.
Then they are all for it - Everyone should be!
The funny thing is that recently I had to replace my debit card and when it didn't show up in the mail, my bank informed me I might have missed it and mistaken it for junk mail because they disguise the envelop and give no indication who it is from for fear of theft. Meantime, who the hell sees the mail or has access to it before arriving in my mail shot but the Post Office?

The same post office that delivered millions and millions of checks earlier this year...millions and millions of tax refunds, millions and millions of credit cards etc...?

Its telling how desperately you know that you need massive fraud to occur to even have a remote chance to win.

I love it when people like you have no idea about what you're discussing, all of those people carry ID's and can provide chain of custody at a bank when cashed. The issue is that isn't there with a ballot, sorry dummy!! apples and oranges. but thanks for the continued display of stupid.

controlled and chain of custody for every ballot. mail in, one cannot keep chain of custody. invalidates the ballot IMO

Well hopefully then Trump and many others in DC stop mailing in their ballots and go and stand in line with everyone else.

But if it's good enough for them it's good enough for the people.

Voting for president is not a Constitutional right. The president is elected by the electoral college, which is composed of a few hundred people and how they vote is up to their state. Some states cast all their EC votes according to the majority winner in their state while others allocate them proportionally. In neither case is the voter directly electing the president, and in neither case does the Constitution give them the right to vote. Also, in neither case does Federal law prohibit the elector from casting his vote for Mickey Mouse if he/she wished to do so. Only state law could forbid that.

Voting is a Constitutional right.
Did you miss what I said? You do NOT have a Constitutional right to vote for president. If you believe that you do, please post evidence from the Constitution you do.

Think about about it this way. if you have a Constitutional right to vote for president, your state's electors could not disenfranchise your vote by casting their EC votes for the majority winner in your state, yet that's exactly what they do in most states.

You have a Constitutional right to vote. Your useless rant really doesn't interest me.
Prove it. The Constitutional isn't very long, so read it and pull out the part that guarantees you the right to vote for president. What I said is accurate, and I believe that what you are really not interested in is finding out that it is.

I have no obligation to prove your immaterial rants.
so you concede that right isn't in the constitution? that's what you're saying.

You can argue all day whether or not you are actually voting for the president when you mark your ballot all day if you wish. I'm not interested in this discussion.

You wouldn't be. You would be proving yours. Prove that you have a Constitutional right to vote for president. It should be easy.

I have no obligation to address points that people make up for me.
then don't use terms like 'rights' when you have no proof of such language to make such a statement.

I never made any such statement. But you know that.

Don’t worry, the DNC will be delivering everyone’s vote by the truck load on election night, and after if necessary during recounts, to ensure we get the results we deserve.
