/---/ Companies charge what the market will bear. If it's too high, no one will buy. Look at Ford, Chevy, and Stellantis who price gouged $35,000 pickup to $100,000+. Only a few are sold.. 145 - 300 day inventories.Try and focus for a moment, and realize I'm still on the subject of price gouging.
In some cases, dealers have NEW 2022 trucks on the lots. Dealers are slaching prices by 35% in some cases, and they still won't sell.
But in the grocery industry, they work on a 1.5% margin. Not much room for gouging.
