The Home of the Hump-Backed Fish Roars to Life

Growing up in Los Angeles, we used to look down upon the pitiful flow of sewage encased in concrete and that is what we called the Los Angeles “River.” The reason? There was so little water in it that in order to survive, fish swam that way to their heads/gills were under water and their tail could move them along.
