Donald Trump on LA Fires "I never understood wind”

I'll bet that you, Dante, could devise a better plan (just think about it for a minute). ;)
"They just can’t put out the fires. What’s wrong with them?”

equals

Dissing the firefighters who are actually fighting the fires.

Palisades Fires spread because of winds -- air support was grounded

:anj_stfu:
Do you have a timeline of the grounding in relation to the fire in Palisades? Was the grounding responsible for the fires in Palisades?

That's amazing considering the fact that Texas leads the nation in both wind and solar energy.

Neither of which he is intelligent enough to understand, as he is only transactional, and neither put money into his pockets.

Which shows your dishonesty by not pointing out.
What does Texas have to do with anything? You've somehow convinced yourself that an a multi-billionaire and three-times elected president is "unintelligent" because you took something out of obvious context. You people continue to dig your own political graves.

Please look, try and think, and then pause before you post.

Uhm...

This is the Satire subforum
OK, so you put a clump of MSM news articles in the wrong subforum? Does this mean you don't believe the MSM articles you posted or you just don't know what satire means?

Here's a timeline of the Palisades' fire. It seems that the winds didn't pick up until later in the day meaning there was plenty of time to control the fire that eventually burned the whole neighborhood down.

I found and posted the timeline of the Palisades' fire. Here it is for you. I'll try to find out when the planes were grounded.

Here it is.

So, the fire started in the Palisade's on Tuesday morning, but the planes weren't grounded until Wednesday evening. So, they had all day Tuesday, Tuesday night, and most of the day on Wednesday to protect the Palisade's neighborhood. Why didn't they? (Also a trick question.)

Those fierce, dry Santa Ana winds both drove the fires’ rapid expansion on Tuesday and temporarily grounded firefighting aircraft from about 7:30 p.m. local time (Tuesday night) until about 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Chief Kristin Crowley said in a press conference on Wednesday.

...

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass also said, opens new tab on Thursday, “A key factor of this firestorm for much of Tuesday (Jan. 7) the unprecedented winds prevented air operations to continue. However as of yesterday, the winds have allowed for air operations and that has enabled significant progress against the fires in Hollywood and Studio City last night."

Hollywood fire (not Palisades fire) where Dante was under mandatory evacuation

go away

seriously

go away
I'm just using your posts to communicate this information to others. But it is revealing that you want me to "go away". But out of respect I won't respond to any more of your posts.

Thanks for the update. So, the planes could fly all during the day on Tuesday (when they were needed most)?

This isn't my main point, which is simply that there weren't enough planes in the air to be effective. There are 'water bombers' sitting idle all over the country that could have been used to battle these fires. Why they weren't has to be investigated.

Trump Calls Officials Handling Los Angeles Wildfires ‘Incompetent’

His post did not mention any officials by name.

Donald Trump's Comments on LA Fires Proves He Was Right When He Said "I never understood wind." Trump doesn't understand wind and we should take him at his word because as he's said before "I'm smart...like, really smart...a very stable genius.” and “Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart." We all know Trump is playing with all his marbles and is among the sharpest cookies around.

Now what Trump knows very much about is Blowing Smoke and Hot Air. He knows about conflagrations. Conflagrations, a big word. But we can all rest assured that Trump has studied conflagrations better than anybody. He knows it is very expensive, that they are popular in California and Democratic Cities mostly, very few being popular in places like Mar a largo and New York City, almost none, but we all know conflagrations are manufactured, tremendous — if you are unaware of this — tremendous flames, smoke, fumes, and gases are spewing into the atmosphere. Like Trump has said "You know we have a world, right?”

Trump:
“So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about fake manmade climate change and the carbon footprint, flames, smoke, fumes, and gases are spewing into the air, right spewing, coming to the rest of America, carried by the wind.”

Now:
Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles County authorities have invited President-elect Donald J. Trump to tour the devastation, but he has not publicly responded.
President-elect Donald J. Trump offered fresh criticism early Sunday of the officials in charge of fighting the Los Angeles wildfires, calling them “incompetent” and asking why the blazes were not yet extinguished.
“The fires are still raging in L.A.,” Mr. Trump wrote on his Truth Social site. “The incompetent pols have no idea how to put them out.”
...
Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles...said that any evaluation of mistakes or failures by “any body, department, individual” would come later.
Mr. Newsom, a Democrat, has also fended off criticism from Mr. Trump, who blamed him for the failure to contain fires and claimed he had blocked an infusion of water to Southern California over concerns about how it would affect a threatened fish species.
Mr. Newsom’s press office responded by saying in a statement that the “water restoration declaration” that Mr. Trump had accused him of not signing did not exist. “The governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and making sure firefighters have all the resources they need,” the statement said.
Mr. Newsom and Kathryn Barger, the chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, have invited Mr. Trump to tour fire damage in the city. He has not responded publicly to those invitations.
At least 16 people had died as a result of the fires as of Sunday morning, and at least 12,000 structures had been destroyed, officials said. Mr. Trump alluded to that devastation in his post on Sunday.
“Thousands of magnificent houses are gone, and many more will soon be lost,” he wrote. “There is death all over the place. This is one of the worst catastrophes in the history of our Country. They just can’t put out the fires. What’s wrong with them?”

We'll see. I'm just one of the first 'Monday morning quarterbacks'. After everyone involved in leadership has covered their ass some embarrassing facts are sure to come out. I'm betting the big one will be not enough water bombers.

Jesse Watters was reporting on the fire with a split screen showing the fires in real time. Gentle onshore wind pushing smoke back into the mountains, clear visibility showing the fire line clearly. In the thirty minutes the scene was telecast only one plane appeared, a military chopper flew along the fire line then off and away. Perfect conditions for 'water bombing' but not a single water bomber appeared anywhere.

I guess you are so clueless you like Trump never understood wind

The firefighters apparently don't either. They're trying to save the trees at the expense of whole neighborhoods. Everything downwind of the fire should have been soaked by the water bombers (Oh wait, there weren't enough of them to do the job).

People like you who leaped to judgments very quickly on the New Orleans attack ...

There should have been effective barriers set up. How difficult is that? That would be my only comment.
