It is time the lying stopped. I am a citizen of the United States. I do not like what I see, and the constitution says I have the first amendment right to peacefully air my grievance. Today, some people feel entitled to say anything without concern for its truth or impact on others. We live in a time where people ardently hold words written by fiction writers such as Ayn Rand as philosophical absolutes. Sure, writers like Ray Bradbury, George Orwell and others have written fiction in the past that eerily shows us the world we live in now. However, I do not think it is wise to form public policy based on what Napolean the Pig said in Animal Farm.

There are people right now who feel their first amendment rights are inhibited because they cannot freely speak hateful falsehoods about others. There are people in this country who are proud to say they use disinformation and these same people who only use disinformation as basis for knowledge have the nerve to tell others who use facts that they are the ones who are being fooled and cannot see the truth. Instead of using legendary sources of information that have broken stories that changed history, we read opinions from amateurs who claim to be journalists on whatever Twitter calls itself now. Some people only use the most extreme opinions as a basis for their worldview. This cannot continue. Disinformation has dislodged many Americans from reality. If we are going to go back to anything, it should be going back to truth and accuracy in the delivery of information. It is time to put an end to the craziness.

The High Cost of Lies: How Radical-Right Misinformation Destroys Democracy and Endangers Society

Democracy is under siege.

Radical-right politicians are weaponizing lies to divide societies, erode trust in democratic institutions, and push the world toward endless wars and unchecked oligarchies.

This isn’t just politics—it’s a calculated assault on truth and freedom. Ordinary people are paying the price.

The time to act is now.

Introduction: The Hidden Price of Misinformation

Misinformation isn’t just an online annoyance—it’s a deliberate political strategy with devastating real-world consequences.

Radical-right populist politicians are leading the charge, using lies to fracture societies, weaken democracies, and advance destructive agendas.

This isn’t politics as usual. It’s a direct threat to global stability and human progress (Bennett & Livingston, 2018).

What the Research Reveals: Radical-Right Misinformation Explained

A massive study examined 32 million tweets from politicians in 26 countries over six years (Source).

The findings are alarming:

  • Radical-Right Politicians Spread More Lies: Radical-right populist parties are far more likely to share misinformation than any other political group (Zimmermann & Kohring, 2020).
  • Populism Alone Isn’t the Problem: Left-wing populists don’t spread misinformation the same way. It’s specifically the mix of right-wing ideology and populism that drives the spread of lies (Hameleers, 2020).
  • Social Media Supercharges Misinformation: Radical-right politicians use platforms like Twitter to push false information directly to the public, bypassing fact-checkers and traditional media (Vosoughi et al., 2018).
  • Targeting Trust: These politicians exploit public distrust in media and government to make their lies more believable and harder to challenge (Jungherr & Schroeder, 2021).

Misinformation ? Do you even realize the hypocrisy you spew constantly ?

What is really needed is to dismantle the leftwing media apparatus, and that starts with the funding from Marxist billionaires. What more glaring example could their be with the Biden dementia, stolen election, and massive coverups of those two colossal events?

Misinformation? Do lefties really want to open that can 'o worms after four years of disinformation about Biden's physical and mental health?
Yeah, let's open that can. Because "Bidens health" damn sure didn't stop him from being one of the best presidents in modern history.

And this thread is why I will never trust anyone, including a leftist, who uses the word "democracy" or uses it as a cudgel.

You haven't the slightest idea how it functions. You don't want democracy, you want compliance, submission.

Shut it, old man.
No, that's what the right wants. That's why you bitches are censoring school curriculums, banning books frm libraries, threatening to defeund universities, I can keep on going. All you chumps do is project.

Stop drinking the baby formula child.

And here we see he prime examples of people proud to use disinformation to guide their opinions.

I post fact-based information infant boy.
Bullshit.

You call what facts you fear as misinformation. The old style communists and Marxists do the same. The radicals on both sides do the same.

You're too easy to see through. Anyone interested in facts wouldn't be so preoccupied with labeling them as misinformation, you deluded old crone.

Furthermore, you're talking to one of the pit fighters of this board.

Put on a diaper or two old man, this will be a discussion you'll wish you hadn't started with me old man.

I'll take you to the mat.
