Reports from two members of the Congressional Delegation to Gitmo this weekend, on Fox&Friends this morning, should alleviate all our concerns. Marsha Blackburn R. Tenn, and Dan Boren D. Okla., were very impressed and even got to witness an interrogation session. Harry Potter was read to the detainee to get him to talk but they claimed that it actually got him to laugh instead.

Blackburn and Boren were emphatic about the need to keep Gitmo open. Boren claimed that there was no need for an independant investigation after what they saw this weekend. Everything is fine especially the food and the soldiers are doing their job. Blackburn added that they need to know that we support them.

Comment: I guess we're supposed to accept this report as definitive proof that Gitmo is great. They must really think we're major fools. The rehearsed interrogation with Harry Potter is really hard to believe but these guys were reporting it with a straight face. Sounds like the soldier doing the interrogation was having some fun with the guests and they didn't even get the joke.

How about some unscheduled visits to Gitmo to see what's happening. The International Red Cross has made some surprise visits but they are not permitted to release the findings to the public. Why is it so difficult to set up a policy that promotes compliance to regulations?
Why do we even need to be suspicious?

Maybe you could pull together some protestors and march through the streets of Baghdad or Kabul and scream "Yankee go home". That is sure to solve the problem of terrorism in the world. I envision the Nobel Peace Prize headed your way.
